I don't want them all like Ed. I just want real untrained humans prepared to give it a good go .[/QUOTE]
I agree to a point but I doubt they would be able to find enough celebs like Greg, Rob, Claudia etc in any one series . They will always have to include some showbiz people and they usually will have done some dance training in their schooling .”
We have sports of all kinds . Olympians , footballers , boxers, . News readers, presenters, blokes and gals who are in the news , like the guy who nutted the terrorist at Glasgow airport years ago , or people who've done anything similar to make their face or name recognizable .Fund raisers, heroes and heroines . We don't need Towies and Act-ors and actresses unless they are pure amateurs with no stage school background . I know, those are a rare breed for sure

. There are lots of people on the telly who aren't stage school brats though and they'd take the hand off you for a fee well below what trained luvvies demand .
I'm not against a purist Strictly to run
in conjunction with a 'normal people' (no offense) one . There should be room for both, maybe one to follow the other and with shorter series . I just think that mixing trained with totally untrained is deeply unfair and that's why I'm voting for Ed time after time . Because he is totally untrained and totally up for tackling anything thrown at him .
I like that Dunkirk spirit . (Again no offense meant comparing dancing to soldiering for your country .)
