I'm pretty sure after Emily's performance this week that Simon is STILL trying to recreate the feeling he got when Drew Ryniewicz sang it to him at JH on XF-USA.

Oddly, Drew's performance is still one of my favourite performances, but unlike Simon Cowelldom I don't try and recreate it.

He does this a lot.

I agree totally! Drew was the first thing I thought of when I heard Emily was singing that, and Drew's voice is so clear and actually had a bit of power to it but Emily's a bit talk-singy and mumbly. The reason her John Lewis songs sound so flat is that she doesn't have the power or leverage in her voice to take them anywhere, as we all keep saying she'd be much better off with folky indie-pop like say Lykke Li or Of Monsters & Men.

Not bring horrible but just watched her performance last night - ****ing awful
