You really do show your ignorance, more often than even I originally thought.
Value , does NOT require to be in monetary terms - but perhaps you 'value' your friends in accordance with their wealth!
Incidentally, I very much doubt that my post misled anybody with a modicum of intelligence - and I do apologise if you were misled - but I did very clearly explain, (which shouldn't have been necessary), that as the EU's portion of trade is declining in terms of the UK's total trade, it obviously is declining in value to the UK.
If for example, the monetary value of the EU's portion of UK trade doubled, but despite that , it only represented 10% of UK trade - then obviously it's 'value' to the UK would have declined.
Surely even you can see that?????
