More miming last night

I'm pretty sure that Ryan mimed the whole of Jailhouse rock over a 'pre-recorded' version. I wouldn't be surprised if others were miming too. I guess the producers feel they have no choice given that they put through contestants with very limited vocal ability.

They have to mime because they cant sing. It's pathetic really.

Evidence? Other than the fact that hi lips were in sync every-time the camera was on him

The evidence is that he sang in tune He is one of the worst singers to ever make the lives and is in the same league as Sam Callahan. It's not that hard to mime in sync if practiced enough

Word has it that he has been receiving some training from Cheryl.

Nearly all the artists have to play over backing tracks including backing vocals, how could you rearrange the sound system to suit so many different songs in such a small space and in time?

One of 5AM, the one with the longer hair, looked to be miming as well, when I watched their performance on youtube this morning.

The backing vocals are too loud and feature too much which gives the impression that contestants are singing in tune when they're not. 5AM is another example - they have sang out of sync with the backing vocals and continue to get standing ovations - it's hilarious.

5 AM mimed chunks of their song again, and then proceeded to bore us with more BGT 90's dancing.

Sara is the only one I'm confident doesn't use any backing vocals

I'm not sure. Look again at the last bit of her song and that big note. The camera moves right away from her. Look at her mouth - hard to see with camera angle - and listen to the sound. I.think they gave her a bit of help. I'm.not 100% sure but it instantly seemed a bit... Odd. And i am a saara fan.

A few of my friends went to the live show yesterday- they were near the front! They said nobody mimed and all were singing 100% live. They agreed that Matt was AMAZING and the whole audience were on their feet and he sounds so much better when you actually see him preform than on TV. But no, stop making things up with the whole 'miming' thing. It's not true. They sound different when they're actually up on YouTube as well. I wish I'd gone now actually...

Lol they sing they own vocal but it gets auto tuned and played around a bit then they mime along to it on the "live shows"

I really thought Emily was miming. Her performances sounded very similar to her Spotify version.

Nice pitch - the producers would be so proud especially with that Matt plug too. Sorry to say but there have been multiple instances of miming and overuse of backing vocals. Ryan climbing up onto the podium being one of the most obvious. 5AM singing out of sync with the backing vocals.

Yes some of my friends were there last too and they said most of the acts were miming. Especially Matt.
