Now that is a quality take down.

But then given what that guy and his group had done it was fully deserved - taking half sentences and partial comments by people out of context to totally mislead people about their views. The remainer lobbyist ought to get a job on Channel 4 news.

I think Andrew Neil should be the judge in the Supreme Court during the appeal. He'll prove to everyone so many times that no one was actually mislead! He is good interviewer. Is he a secret "Leave" voter?

I have no idea.

I would just call him - fair balanced and unafraid. He dishes it out to anyone and everyone of all parties who hasn't marshalled their arguments or is deliberately trying to mislead.

He was bashing Brexiters before the referendum in a quite aggressive way - sure not leftist rage induced hatred a la Channel 4 - but he certainly had more zeal in attacking Brexiters than Remainers pre-referendum. Since the result however he seems to evolved and spotted that the Remainers are being quite disingenuous and are actually trying to usurp democracy. Some of his interviews with Remainers have been some of the best political TV available in the UK.

Then he has the audacity to say, "I challenge anyone to represent them accurately because they took such a range of opinions."

So instead you challenged yourself to represent them inaccurately? Glad to know that the post-truth disease isn't a just *right-wing* one.

There seems to be a desperation in Brexit circles to "prove" they were right.

True, and yet Project Fear threads outnumber Brexit threads 10 to 1 on here. Insecurity seems a Cleggite affair I am afraid.

Saw this this morning, but was waiting for the fella's little vid to appear on here rather than alert to another Neil mauling.

What does that have to do with Open Britain misrepresenting Leave advocates in its video?

It's one of those confirmation bias threads.
They need it to protect themselves from reality.

Even when there's clear evidence of lies from an organisation supporting Remain?

It's only lying when the leave campaigners do it. When remain campaigners do the same thing and get found with their hand in the cookie jar, it's a deluge of denying any wrongdoing and hyperbole.

At about the 8:20 mark, McGrory looks like a man staring into the headlights of an oncoming car - and with very good reason. Neil has got him in the beam and McGrory knows he's heading straight for a car crash. This is not the look of a man who is confident with the strength of the argument he is presenting to the public.

There's been porkies on both sides, but I am not surprised to see remain campaign groups such as Open Britain misrepresenting leading individuals on the leave side of the referendum.

I saw something on Dom Joly's facebook page, stating without any sort of irony that the leave campaign lied, but the remain campaign speculated about things....

Hilarious!
What a Project Lie & Fear rip off exposed.
Loved watching the Remain man fidget.
Chopped up bits of quotes. It's like those old film and theatre promos that say things like "You must go... - Daily Mail" when the the real words are "You must go... if you need a good sleep"

One thread for each bit of project fear coming true. You figure out why there's so many.

I watched it this morning while doing the ironing, a job that I hate, so I was nicely distracted and very amused at the same time!

What is it we're supposed to fear now? Ridiculous, lying, cobbled together Remain videos like this one?

Er, this is a Brexit thread.
No, it's about a posing idiot being skewered by Neil. That he happens to be a Remaniac Extraordinaire makes it funnier for some, but it's impossible to watch that without laughing as he squirms.
Are you sure you are in the right thread?
And have you watched the video?

Arrogant entitled Remainer sees nothing wrong with lying, misrepresenting things which are so easy to check and blatantly lying again and again even when confronted with the truth, a perfect example of someone who's still throwing his toys out of the pram and just. doesn't. get. it.
Lol...just lol.

"he happens to be a Remaniac" but it's not a Brexit thread. Listen to yourself.

No, I haven't watched the video.
