The results show ending...

Does anyone else hate the way they edit the end of the show where they show half of the couples talking about how much they are going to miss the eliminated couple and then the other half only talking about themselves?

It makes some of them look so bad and I've already seen lots of horrible comments on twitter about Oti/Danny and Ore/Joanne tonight.

Yep...I agree...not liking the editing at all...

Yes, it made Oti look particularly bad tonight

It's the same every week - at least they do seem to rotate who they choose to portray as the un-caring ones!

Agreed, that's very unfair, the way they edit it to make it seem some couples don't care about whose gone.

I think it's the editing. They must be asking each couple about the eliminated couple and then asking how do you feel about surviving. I saw the way Danny was cheering Greg after his DO, really pathetic attempt by the producers.

Include me in this.
We hear all about the couples who are through with Claudia and then on ITT.
Don't make it too maudling but let the rest say a farewell to the eliminated couple.

Yes, the editing is awful, though it really doesn't take much to realise that they're being asked different questions so I feel more concerned about those making abusive comments on twitter who clearly take everything they see at face value - says more about them really!

I agree. It makes half look very caring and half very selfish. I think the clips should all be about their thoughts about the eliminated couple.

I basically hate that whole sequence. It kills the whole "moment" for the eliminated couple (which is often quite poignant), and the studio (at Elstree anyway) always looks really sad in the background with the house lights whacked on and the audience members filing out. We don't want to see it like that! You might as well have a cleaner with a mop

I much preferred the way they did it up to a few years ago where the show just ended with the "last dance" and a quick screen of principal credits. There's plenty of opportunity for the others to say how they feel on It Takes Two during the week.

Got to end on a positive on Planet Strictly.
Did anyone get to say they are soooo eccited about next week?
who me?

I've noticed they do it every week and no doubt there were weeks when Greg has been excited in the edit rather than upset for the departed one. Didn't think anyone would be daft enough to not see it for what it was. There's nowt so daft as folk who want to get aerated about something if they have a thing against a certain celeb!

I think all of them talk about the eliminated couple first and then about their expectations for the next dance.
You can see that in the clip that is posted on the BBC Strictly website after each couple leaves and is called Goodbye (name of the celebrity). Then they usually put the whole interviews.
I don't know who thought cutting the half without even announcing the question is a good idea.

No, it was more about how epic the weekend just finished was I think.

The end interviews are normally 1/2 and 1/2 but this week it seemed to be 4 about Greg going and 2 about how good Blackpool was.

There is a touch of TV fakery going on I feel. The producers well know what is going to win votes and what is not

Agree! I comment on it every week, how the editing makes some look so bad in that section!

I agree. It's really insensitive and unfair.

All the couples need to say is how they will miss their eliminated friends. Then there is nothing to edit!

I watch those videos every week so myself and many of us on here know it's edited but a lot of casual viewers who won't ever access those videos will have a different opinion and will perceive some of the celebs to be arrogant etc. I don't think it's fair on any of them really.

They do, hence the clip on the BBC website. They're then asked what do they think about getting through or something of that ilk. Maybe they should just say "we're not answering" and stalk off, though that could be edited badly as well!
