How are they picking on him. He was given a job , when he didn't do it he was asked to do it. He's not making his late entrance easy for himself. He needs to get a grip . What did he expect .

Well I don't suppose he expected to be so openly belittled by big mouth Danny Baker.

What the?!!?

Every time I come on here I feel like I'm in an alternate dimension. No he isn't being bullied, he was rude to Scarlett and Danny told him off for it. He sobbed like a child.

I do however question his stability to be in there though.

BTW, that was a passive-aggressive masterclass from Scarlett earlier when she was "comforting" Martin. "Don't need to get upset over this Martin!". In other words "You've just been humiliated by both me and Danny in front of everyone else over the water (even though Adam was just as much to "blame"), but you shouldn't show it in front of others because it might make me look bad so stop it." There wasn't an ounce of compassion in her voice.

You're so right. I was looking forward to Scarlet going in for I love her on Gogglebox, but have had my eyes opened about her now. She's devious, manipulative and cruel.

Martin's very passive aggressive, and condescending to Scarlett, who tonight, was acting like a grown up.

Danny Baker played a blinder. He'd had enough of Martin's work avoidance and possibly sexist behaviour to Scarlett, and let rip. Good for him.

And let's be honest, nobody disagreed with Danny.....and Scarlet verbally agreed with him.

You could see that Danny had just had enough of Martin's behaviour, and in a very controlled but laced with anger way, tore Martin apart, and never let go until Martin was forced to accept the truth.

I actually think that Martin may be the bully, a bit of a psychological bully, especially to Scarlet, and possibly other young people with which he feels he can pick on. Maybe he does that on his TV programme, and gets away with it.

But Danny doesn't like bullies. And now Martin knows that Danny doesn't like bullies.

That is an interesting relationship that is developing.

Martin is a total knobhead, what else is there to say.

What there is to say, is that the others, having seen how quickly and joyously Danny Baker likes to belittle people, are keeping their mouths shut so that they don't have to suffer the same.

I'm wondering if the real issue here is that Danny and Martin were late in, and as such quite probably had meetings with the producers to see how they would go in and stir things up. I suspect Martin is doing what was agreed, but is discovering that Danny is playing his own game and not playing like he said he would, and so feels betrayed and confused.

I'm no delicate flower; I don't like hypocrites and game players, you clearly do.

The thread is regarding 'is Martin being bullied' not who likes hypocrites and game players. In my opinion he is definitely not being bullied and if we were to be talking about game players he'd be number 1 on my list.

So I presume you thought Scarlet was a delicate flower when she was crying last night? After all, the real world affects all players.

No she knew what game she was playing with that.

Fair enough but so is passive aggression and snarky behaviour which Martin exhibits. I guess you must like these characteristics then

That's pretty much my reading of it, too. Love him or loathe him, Danny tells it like he sees it and on this occasion, I think he was right. He could have been more diplomatic, but diplomacy doesn't seem to have worked too well with Martin so far...

I don't believe I said they weren't relevant which is the reason you pulled me up. No touche from me I'm afraid

They are picking on him and Moffit is the ring leader. She must see him as a threat.
The other day she tells off Martin for speaking on her behalf because she's not a kid.
Tonight she says it's right for Danny to speak on her behalf.

I've posted about this upthread but I'll just leave it here:

Well the difference being that Scarlett didn't agree with what Martin was saying (and therefore didn't want to be brought into the argument by association) whereas she had already asked Martin to pull his weight and he had ignored her so she was happy for Danny to step in.

Martin being the tool that he is still didn't get the hint and sat there fanning the fire!
