I also think shes manipulative, as when Danny spoke up for her when Martin wouldnt listen she was thanking him instead of saying shes the one to give out orders and not someone else, thats her getting people on her side giving her ammo, she knows how to gather a clique Martin however was working it too, I think he wanted all in there to see only his point of view and follow him like the team leader, but he was in for a shock.

I disagree, Martin had annoyed people once too many times and needed bringing back to reality and made to do his share of the jobs for the camp. What was Scarlett supposed to do? He wasn't taking a blind bit of notice of her as camp President, apart from being downright obnoxious and eventually doing a job he prioritised himself instead of getting water. Obviously trying to leave it to Adam again as he loathes doing it because it's hard work. That came out in another of his moaning sessions.
Martin's a real diva through and through and I agree with you about him. Neither he nor Danny as newbies should have immediately been made team leaders in a newly divided camp.
I only wish we could see more of some of the others and less of Scarlett, but is the amount of camera time she's being given her fault?

I don't know if I'd call her manipulative, but I didn't like the way she "comforted" Martin when he was clearly genuinely upset in the camp. Was there an ounce of compassion or empathy in her voice? He'd just been humiliated in front of the whole camp and been told that they all thought he was patronising and lazy. Danny had also used the opportunity to put him further down and show him who was Boss as part of their little "rivalry". It wasn't like he'd just been taken aside and had a quiet word with. For a man, very few things hurt more than having your dignity and status shattered in front of an (arguably complicit) audience.

Also I didn't like the way she told him he didn't need to be upset over it. I got the distinct impression that she was basically telling him to stop causing a fuss and to stop making her look bad.

Yes you could be right, its ok for Scarlett to have a bubble and get comforted in there but others shouldnt cry, it takes the attention of her

She is one of my favourites on gogglebox, but i,m not liking her in the jungle at all. It is fast becoming the Scarlet show.

Her odds are almost back to 2/1 after being as low as 5/6 before Martingate.

The producers have obviously had a word overnight as the U turn today from certain people was immense. Yesterday was a significant banana skin for her though, and I think the mask will slip again.

Glad I didn't bet on her.

I liked her on Gogglebox, however I really don't like the way its so obvious that ITV wants her to win.
Same, I love her witty quips on Gogglebox but I'm not warming to her being outside of that environment. The whole show feels too contrived to crown her queen.

I wonder how it would have gone down in camp if someone, perhaps Martin. said that to her when she got emotional about something.
I think some people lack empathy and don't recognise how something may affect somebody else emotionally. As long as they're all right they think all is fine with the world.

I think I'm right in thinking Scarlet has been either 'President' or 'Vice President' of the camp since the start ... and therefore has not lifted a finger since she's been in there

Now I know that was down to the public vote, nevertheless, it seems a bit off to me for someone who hasn't done a stroke so far, to be whinging about who isn't pulling their weight in there

So most of us wouldn't get upset, whilst tired and hungry, if you asked the nominated person to do their task 6-8 times, to basically get the answer "whatever"?

If she did any work, she'd lose those nails. She won't like that.

A cold and callous woman, an arch manipulator. It's stomach churning to see this kind of behaviour rewarded and celebrated. She can only get worse, and that is frightening for anyone unwilling to suck up to her. Vicious and vile
Agree.....can't stand her...

Are you mistaking her for Lucretia Borgia?

Who was Larry Lambs VP?
She done a thing in there, I'm pretty sure she rarely lifts a finger on the outside either (unless there's a fitness DVD in it for her!).

It is her job as President to make sure the jobs are done! Having to repeatedly ask is why she was 'whinging'.

Wasn't Scarlett chosen by the public to be president/VP? Hardly her fault.

Doing other camp mates jobs gets them a "dingo dollars" fine. So why would she be doing their jobs?

Why would she be "tired and hungry? She hasn't had any duties in camp, and they've won food everyday.

Good grief! Really! You came to this opinion because of 'watergate'? I personally think you are just seeing what you want to.

Whilst I personally don't like her, and haven't bought into the poor defenceless ickle me act - she has shown herself to be two faced.

Martin had done a really nasty trial, and brought back food for the camp (and would have got more had Ant and Dec told him about the dropped stars (like they helped Adam last night)...... Adam, the other water carrier had been lounging around camp all the time, so why hadn't HE been off topping up the water? surely they don't have to go in pairs to do their jobs around camp.

Even while they were all having a pop at Martin, Adam didn't jump up and say "I'll go and get the ruddy water" - and I didn't hear Scarlett telling Danny off for speaking for her like she did when Martin stood up for her!

As has been said, she has either been Vice President or President since the beginning, and hasn't really had any real work to do - just sit around "supervising"

And as for the Bells Palsy? It's not a permanent thing - it happens and then your face goes back to normal after a time .... and it doesn't affect the rest of your body. Scarlett's face is definitely not still frozen given the range of expressions and movement she has displayed.

It certainly doesn't affect your physical activity - a relatively famous sufferer was Mark Phillips (Princess Anne's ex husband). His Bells Palsy didn't stop him carrying on with his equine business as normal.

That said, Scarlett clearly does have some other health issues (I'd hazard a guess at something like anorexia as her arms and legs are so thin), but it's not the Bells Palsy that is giving her medical immunity.
