I hate to be pedantic, but that's really not what happened. Martin said that he was having a go about the gloating because other people had said they were upset about the gloating. Scarlett said that she certainly wasn't - that she was upset about her own performance. Even though, when they got back to camp she was the FIRST one to have a go (at Adam) about the gloating. It's fairly clear.

I sometimes wonder if some of you lot were looking for something to jump on her. I don't thinkmany of you liked her to start with, so found every possible situation to make her look nasty.

I really cannot see Scarlett being a nasty person at all. If she is favourite and 'the chosen one' by producers according to this forum, then why did they show this "side" of her if they want her to win?

I think people just nit-pick too much, and see things they want to see. Nobody is perfect, even Larry.

I agree with this assessment.

The producers don't care who wins but of course they're going to show more of the vocal, humourous housemates with opinions. Scarlett is one of the biggest characters in there. As is Martin.

I think the whole thing could have been handled better but any time someone is crying by the campfire, it's hard not to feel sorry for them. Scarlett has a lot of power in there. If she accepts Martin, they all will. But she hasn't and until she does, he's really going to struggle.

This, spot on. She just seems quite normal to me and not everyone enjoys confrontation. Baker took it upon himself to start yelling at Brent, oops Martin, and completely put her on the spot. She was in a no win situation there, socially. So she stood her ground and agreed with Baker which was fair enough as I'm concerned. At the very leats she wasn't the one yelling.

I liked Scarlett on Gogglebox, but she could have handled this better I feel.
I am going off her slowly since she entered the camp, and she seems emotionally immature.
I have feeling that ITV wants her to win though.

I didn't like her from the beginning, I immediately thought she would be this years Vicky Pattison, she'd play it safe, never express arrant frustration, and try and get on everyone's good side. I guess she made a slip-up, and now it's apparent she's playing a game and is actually kind of two faced.

Also her cry the other day seemed very ungenuine, she spoke clearly, her voice didn't tremble, there was no mucous sounds when she snuffled. But Martin crying on today's ep was probably the first genuine emotion we've had.

So true, he was clearly distressed and she was cold and calculated when she went up to him.

She is a very outspoken, confident character on Gogglebox, swearing and being a bit obnoxious even. She is definitely the dominant one out of her, her mum and her dad.

Bit jarring seeing her little girl lost act on here. Seems disingenuous.

If I was in there I'd get sick of her sitting on her backside for days on end as Vice President and President, ordering people to go pump water or clean the dunny. Hopefully, when someone else becomes President, she'll be given some of the hardest tasks.

For someone who was supposed to be bullied and ostrazised you would think she would have had some empathy with the way Martin felt (not saying Martin was bullied in camp) but she had none at all, infact she more or less supported Danny's comments and the way he said them

Martin is a bit of a wuss but the camp should have made more of an effort to guide and cheer him and the only one who did that was Adam while getting water, I think even he realised it wasnt just Martins fault there was no water

I do wonder if Scarlett had asked Adam to get more water or was it just Martin she asked

It's also Adam's job too, Martin had spent half a day winning stars so they could eat, why wasn't Adam collecting water when Martin was doing his task?
Why wasn't Baker the loudmouth berating Adam, why does Baker think it's his place to pull anyone up? Or is it any excuse to have a go at Martin for any reason?

Scarlet is clearly 2 faced, it's been clear from day one that she's been playing a game and clear as day the producers want her to win. She "cries" when she knows it will make the camp mates and twitter brigade to feel sorry for her, she sits on her backside doing nothing constantly and she bullies Martin (along with Danny) to the point he breaks down (genuine from Martin).

She even bullied Martin over the food just because he didn't like it, she laughs about him behind his back, she never has a go at anyone else but she's happy to have a go at him!

I used to watch Gogglebox, remember her first series on there and I quite liked her (I thought she was one of the funniest on there) and I still didn't mind her but this ISN'T the same scripted person. She's either two faced or she's faking it

I have been wondering about this. Is it an "in joke" or is it a mistake which nobody has corrected (doubtful). Possibly editing has covered up a story here. I'm afraid Martin is out of his depth with this lot. All of the others are sharp-witted and on the ball, but Martin seems to lumber along taking ages to get to the point, reassuring himself about how well he did in the challenge (despite being the first person I can think of to actually LOSE two of the stars he had won). He's drawn the short straw being in the series where there are no real hate figures. First to leave, I suspect - and probably all for the best.

Scarlett's betting odds got pushed out over night on Betfair a lot (from a 1 in 2 shot to a 1 in 3 shot)

It was worse than you said o/p, because Danny said: 'I'm only saying what Scarlett's thinking', and when Martin asked: 'Is that so, Scarlett?', she said: 'Yes, actually it is' i.e. it wasn't said quietly to just Martin.

It was totally contradictory to her comment the previous day when she told Martin quite sternly that she didn't need anyone to speak on her behalf. But whether he was in the right or wrong not getting the water, this latter occasion was terrible for Martin because it was said in front of everyone; very embarassing indeed.

Scarlett arguably stirred all this bad-feeling up though because Danny and Martin had already put it to bed before, however she insisted on publicly calling-out the latter on not doing his bit, thereby winding-up Danny again. And like someone said above, it was also Adam's job but she (apparently) said nothing to him.

If Scarlett does another day-or-two of this sniping she'll have absolutely no chance of winning, 'cos she's coming across as a rather horrible and vindictive person at the moment, not a fun and friendly one.
