Thank you. Will be keeping everything crossed they are kind enough to share. if you need a mobile number to text the result incase the forum slows down, send me a PM.

Discretion guaranteed. Will also remind people not to keep refreshing the page so you can post direct if you do find out.

Anyone else live not too far from the studio, just in case?

Hi Sarah, can you explain a bit clearer . Is it all the couples have betting odds against their names except the eliminated couple ?

Yes, although I remember one time when we got fake spoilers posting spurious results on DS and the bookmakers were struggling to keep up. Whilst those in the know waited for the known spoiler to post.

That is how it works Paace - once the result is posted in the spoiler thread, the eliminated dancer is removed from the bookmaker's odds.

A good link for this is http://www.oddschecker.com/tv/strict...dancing/winner

Most bookmakers have stopped issuing odds by spoiler-time of night so only one or two have the odds quoted. Coral's almost always do.

One week this series, abigailsmum accidentally typed in the wrong person as having been eliminated and that person was removed from the betting odds. When abigailsmum corrected the mistake so did the bookmakers!! This has happened in the past too!!

Sorry, I just noticed it. I see Scarlotti has posted the betting link. I think last week, before we found out, the bookmakers had dropped Greg. They also must have sources which give them the info.

As soon as the voting closes around 8:45pm live betting is suspended and then around 10:30pm a name goes to the bottom of the list with no odds against it, meaning that person is eliminated. I didn't know about this mix up with Abigailsmum's bit.
This weekend we can test them out.

The bookmakers are not going to rely on this website info, sure to have sources.

Did you have an eye on the site? I tried, but didn't spot anything

I have the link saved so will make sure it is loaded and refresh it regularly.

Hopefully an irregular and not to be relied upon mole will post to the thread. At least on the odd occasions they do post they are spot on.

I didn't either!!!!

And I somewhat obsessively check all the other sites & sources that post the spoiler result!

Being the cynic that I am, I cannot believe that legislation has been passed by Parliament that forces the BBC to post the result in order to provide the betting industry with information!!!

P.S. I do appreciate that Monaogg was repeating something that has been stated on the forum previously - so I hope what I've just posted doesn't appear like criticism as I HUGELY appreciate Monaogg's efforts on our behalf, (behalves??? )

As the bookmakers do not suspend betting between the Saturday show and when the results are aired, they really do need to know or they could be taking bets under false pretenses. By the same token, they could be taking bets on who will be eliminated from someone with inside information. So they have to protect themselves either way.

I used to work in a bookmakers.

Hi Monaogg!!

I have worked in a bookies too, for about a year - though not recently!

That possibly explains my interest in what the bookies have to say about Strictly odds - and which I usually mention on the spoiler thread!

I appreciate the comments re bookies needing to protect themselves - they almost all close their book after the show - which is consistent with your comments re needing to protect themselves.

Coral are the main organisation that keep a book open - not sure why, but someone did once post that James Jordan works for them. Having Googled it, he does have a relationship with them...

http://www.yogonet.com/international...h-james-jordan

(Googling James Jordan & Corals will show a number of links!!! )

However, from more recent occupations (!), where I was responsible for procuring IT systems - suppliers trying to sell their product would regularly state something like "you must buy this system because it is going to be a legal necessity".

My standard response was "OK - can you tell me the name of the Act that Parliament passed that legislation?". With no exceptions whatsoever, they all backed down!!

I saw a while back someone make the claim re the "legal" requirement for the BBC having to publish this information, without any supporting information!

I've checked BBC Media regularly on a Saturday night since I originally read that comment, and have never seen a post of the result - but that could just be bad luck!

Anyway, PLEASE don't think I'm "having a go" or anything!!!

I appreciate your efforts for us all on the spoiler thread so much - and wouldn't want to post anything which, inadvertently, could cause offense!

We have had far too many many occasions of spoiler suppliers being insulted by posters and I would hate to have my post taken the wrong way!

Again, thanks for all your efforts & I will be there in tomorrow night's spoiler thread!!!!!

Unfortunately our member can't go!

I'm trying to find out what's happened to her tickets so maybe whoever's taken them will mole for us all. (If not, maybe she'll give them to me instead - oh, stop dreaming Jen!)

Fingers remain crossed. Even if the lucky recipient is not you, it would be brilliant if whoever did get them would pass on the information. - Might end up like Chinese whispers though.

It was Monaogg who posted (#46) it, that make sense, surely BBC can't record a show on Saturday and pretend it's a Sunday show, when people betting on events of that show.

fredster, if there is no mole by Saturday morning, could you visit the ticket queue and canvass for a mole?

Just a thought: levels of desperation are beginning to set in....
