no thanks

Did you not witness the disruption he caused in the brief time he was in the Clauditorium?

He'd ruin it, trying to draw more attention to himself than did the old codger.

It'd become worse than the "dog and pony show," that it is now.

Why not. He could be fun.

I'm a Peter Kay fan under most circumstances but he would not suit SCD in any way at all

Yes I would but can you imagine the hooha on here from all those anal folk if he got past week 3?

No, Peter Kay's a brilliant comedian but he's too big a personality himself & would take over the whole show!!
I do love the guy though!!

I do think he would take over rather, perhaps the Christmas special instead?

No, but as others have said, a Christmas special might be fun. Him, Lee Mack, and others like them who hog the limelight, but are funny with it. Edit - Miranda's another one. Put them all together and do it that way - them on the actual show wouldn't work.

God no. Distinctly unfunny 'comedian', with a foghorn voice. He was an embarrassment on Saturday's SCD - I was looking at his antics on screen and thinking: "WTF?"

It's a NO from me!

No. His form of comedy isn't funny (homophobic jokes?Seriously? It's not the 80s any more) and I can't see him putting in the necessary work.

Great idea, all comedians! Just go full on silly!

They wouldn't need to hire a cleaner with all the knee slides he would do

Yes but on a Christmas special not the main show. I love him but his whole persona is based on him being the complete centre of attention all the time which I don't think would fit well in the full show.

I'm calling it now - not gonna happen.

They need to improve the presenters but Kay is not the man, Bradley Walsh is more the type to move it forward.

Quite clearly, that was deliberate...

I have been saying this forever and a day. Thank God someone else can see it!

(BTW: Re Peter, I meant as a contestant, not as host...)

His homophobic, unfunny, embarrassing skit on Saturday evening with Judge Rinder, I think, would disqualify him from the outset. No room for homophobia on SCD.

I really like Peter Kay. My first instinct when he popped up yesterday was to think what a great contestant he would be. My second was to think he woudln't be a very good dancer so maybe no. However he seems to be able to excel at whatever he touches so maybe his dancing wouldn't be so bad either.

On balance though I don't think he is right for SCD fo rth ereasos given by Carly , Fondant Fancy and Notdebbiedingle

Dance-wise, I think he'd be a bit of a Mark Benton type...

Definitely not. I'd be quite happy never to see him on TV again.
