An eight part Swedish series commencing on Saturday 26 November at 9pm.

I wonder how big a part Krister Henriksson has?

Every time I see him I think of Kurt Wallander.

Hmmmm....All a bit clunky and somewhat cliched in terms of plot. Needs to be some motivation behind the killer otherwise it's just lazy.

I really enjoyed it and the motivation of the killer is the whole point of the story.

Religious nut, feels the need to rid the world of liberal pastors, gays and lesbians, one such murder having been witnessed by an autistic girl now traumatised. "She can't express herself in words " says her mother who has some history with the FBI.

"Then let her do some drawing" shout I from the sofa.

I enjoyed it. A promising start.
I really hate "Next time...." previews at the end of a programme, especially before the end credits.

Agreed, one of the best shows that I've seen in the 9pm slot in a long time.

I enjoyed that. I've missed Saturday nights with intense people talking Swedish in bleached landscapes. Scandi-misery. Happy sigh.

Yes, fleshed out more in part 2 but it's still a bit trite in terms of plot. Mercury Rising, Don't Say a Word and probably a dozen TV movies have used the same "child/autistic person witnesses a murder and is sought by the killer" device. And if the aim is to kill gay people then doing one at a time seems an artificially slow way of going about it! And why give a phone to someone else to get rid of? Destroy it yourself but then it couldn't come back as a plot-point later could it?

And do serial killers go about staring into function rooms so they can be spotted staring at someone who later catches them killing somebody (what are the odds?!?!) or would they stay away from bright lights to avoid attention?

I really enjoyed it.

I don't think I have watched any Scandi noir since Trapped much earlier on in the year - there was a heap of series on that I don't have any interest in.

Personal thoughts so far........What can one say - this is TV at its very best. I feel we will have to wait until the last episodes to understand the killers motivation.

The Bishop's husband (played by Krister Henriksson).....the TV chefs partner.... the gay couple......they all appear to have very complex characters already. I believe all the victims may have interlocking stories.

The lead, Inger already seems to be an introverted character and trying to raise her daughters, of which one appears to have her own issues.

I thought it was ok. It took a little time to sort out all the relationships, they all appear to be interlinked in some way or another. I wouldn't put it up there with the very best of Scandi Noir we've seen, but it's more promising than some of the recent offerings in the 9pm Saturday slot.

Enjoyed this last night. Better than some of the stuff we've had lately.

Looking forward to next week.

Unless I misunderstood, the murdered Bishop was liberal on gay rights but an extremist "pro-lifer" who didn't even support the right to an abortion in the case of rape. So not just a straight forward religious nut v liberals motive.

This , after the first episode? Give it a chance before jumping in with the criticsm .
Who's the Bishop's husband going to see ? Obviously that's where she was going ?

I did wonder if the Bishop's secret she referred to in the interview was that she had had a lesbian relationship, and therefore was murdered.

As for the killer, is he not just a hired killer receiving his instructions from the leader of the religious sect?

If he wanted Stine dead he could have just let her be run over.

I wonder if he will obey what ever he has been ordered to carry out re Stine?

I enjoyed the first two episodes, and am hooked for next week's episodes.

Never has 90 minutes gone so quickly and I didn't have to keep on looking at my clock, usually with boredom. Compare this with that trashy Aussie series preceding this.

I'm sure he is not being paid as a hit man. Judging by his reaction when watching the leader on his laptop, he has been brainwashed by the sect into believing what he is doing is for the good of humanity. He is being given "missions" to prove himself.

Perhaps even he draws the line at killing children when it comes to the point of carrying it out.
