I'm definitely in the minority on here, when I say that I gave up on 'The Bridge' very early on. I just couldn't get into it.

Hastily cobbled together after Bodnia backed out. Vastly inferior to S1&2.

Have never been into Scandi dramas. Watched one series of the Killing and had enough.. I ended up watching The Tunnel #becausestephendillane but never saw the Bridge.
I'm very much enjoying this though. Though the killer himself is tedious, it's interesting to see the victims go about their lives. I thought maybe the bishop's son had been born a girl or something especially when his wife said the girl in the picture looked like him. I couldn't remember what age the girl in the picture was but then seeing it tonight she was more of a young woman and not a child. And the father meeting that woman just confused me further. Though I think it's meant to be confusing. Or else I'm just not clued into these shows enough

Scandi crime dramas always have family betrayals and notty, screwed-up family histories. Just like real life, sort of. |

The plot was fairly rubbish but Saga and Henrik were just as good as Martin and Saga. Just my opinion. Henrik was good for Saga in a similar way to Martin. Will be interesting if Bodnia comes back.

The woman Krister Henrikson met was his son's real Mother it seems, and also this character was not very surprised by his wife's murder, and maybe tangled up with the extremist religious sect in America.

Again, I need help as I have got suddenly confused.
There are two well to-do gay men and someone's 'wife' is having their baby? Is one, the younger 'prettier' of the two men, already married and the women present are presumably aware of their liaison? HELP! |

I thought this was the case, too. Am assuming the Bishop was gay and not willing to have sex with her husband so the woman he visited agreed to give them a child. Slightly confused when she said, "His sister?! I could be his mother!" - Slightly odd if she is his mother.

The woman having the baby is in a gay partnership (married by the deceased bishop) as are the two men. One of the men is the Father of the baby (artificial insemination) and the woman is the surrogate for the male couple.

I must admit I thought the same until the woman said that. Now I am leaning towards the woman being the Bishop's lover. In the first episode there was a conversation between the Bishop and her husband in which he said something like ' but we've been together for 40 years' in an almost pleading manner. I got the impression at that time that they might be about to split up.
![]() Re: the computer at the bottom of the lake..... are they going to dredge the frozen lake for it, or are they talking about material stored in the ether somewhere? ETA: Seen post above. Makes more sense. |

Thanks for lifting the fog but is worries me that I cannot see these plots as others, including yourself, do.
![]() . Add in to that fewer familiar faces amongst the actors and the fact you don't have extra references like regional or class accents to help and it all just adds to the confusion.

So yes I agree that the woman the Bishop's husband visited was her lover although she could have borne a child to make the relationship between the Bishop and her husband look normal ? |

What's the betting the killer turns out to be so far back in the closet that he may as well live in Narnia?
