WTF?!?!

As a gay man I find this utterly ludicrous. I'm getting sick to death of the PC hole this country has fallen into.

Agree - I thought Peter Kay was deliberately subverting homophobic 'humour' - it was classic Benny Hill nonsense.

It didn't strike me as homophbic. About thirty or forty years out-of-date and it did make me roll my eyes, but not homophobic.

So why did the same channel have Peter appear then?

For goodness sake that's ridiculous. I'm gay myself and I was laughing at the madness Peter brought to that two minute scene

Honestly, some viewers will complain about ANYTHING they can these days.

Eric Morecambe used to do that all the time. Pretend their guest star had pinched his bottom. What on earth is wrong with people these days.

Did Rob Rinder look upset or embarrassed? No. Intonation gives a lot away and that was purely fun

Must admit, I found the part with Peter so utterly stupid I zoned out. He was even worse than all the other "extras" Claudia has been lumbered with.

As for the complaints. It's just the PC brigade gone MAD as usual.

Agree.

Rob is actually friends with Peter and I'd put good money on the fact the appearance was given the ok by Rob.

The usual PC crap.

Such is the world that soon your life wont be complete without being accused of one thing or another Everyone can be a victim! Pity the real ones.

I got the impression that Judge Rinder pinched Peter's bum when he first hugged him, and that was what sparked the jokes off? Whatever happened, Rinder didn't seem offended!

I thought it was a litigiphobic comment and a funny one!

Wow an article based on FOUR tweets, that's more effort than they normally put into hunting for them. Glad to see my licence fee money going on quality journalism as ever.

Because the BBC didn't expect him to come out with his comment- judging by its own website

Yes I'm sure Rinder was stood right next to Peter for that bit entirely by happenstance...

It looked like Rob thought it was funny.

That's what comedians do, bait and provoke for shocks and laughs.

Done nothing wrong.

Perhaps the complainants were the same two posters who also played the homophobic card here...

I didn't even notice anything! Then again I usually zone out during Ts&Cs

Didn't he also tell Rinder he loved him or was that forgotten.

I think anyone that is gay, as I am (and even those that aren't) are aware of what is homophobia and what is light hearted banter. I was laughing during his segment as it was funny.

Comedians insult all sorts of people, don't take it personally.

Judge Rinder laughed it off.

It would only bother me if Rinder was visibly offended or uncomfortable. He didn't look it at all.

I don't think Peter Kay is mean, bigoted or offensive. I just think he's not remotely funny.

I haven't found any of the "Here's how to vote" segments have contributed anything to the programmes.
I thought Peter Kaye was being seaside-postcardish, and could just as easily have pretended a woman had goosed him if he'd stood in front of her. Would that have been just as allegedly non-pc?
I thought it was mildly funny, so, it appeared, did Robert Rinder.
