Where are the non Christmas festive heartwarmers these days?

Maybe because of the state of the charts they would be played until September next year, but I really miss these heartwarming winter ballads. Let me know if I've missed any.

Steps - Heartbeat

Spice Girls - 2 Become 1 / Too Much

B*witched - To You I Belong

East 17 - Stay Another Day

Robbie Williams and Nicole Kidman - Something Stupid

Martine Mcutcheon - Perfect Moment / I've Got You

Even the Vengaboys had a stab at it!

I think someone should do a good cover of this

Even god awful creations like Mr Blobby injected some fun and warm festiveness into the charts. Didn't he beat Take That?

I'm reminded that Luke Haines' band the Auteurs deliberately released the gloomy "Unsolved Child Murder" as an antidote to all the cheerful Xmas time songs . "UCM" did not chart:

When the price of a CD single went through the roof but the allocated running time to be chart qualifiable was heavily reduced.

1997 = CD single £1.99 for six tracks. Radio edit and 5 remixes.

2002 = CD single £3.99 for three tracks. Radio edit and 2 remixes. FML!!!

This is what happens when record companies get greedy. And people wonder why illegal downloads took over the internet. Hmmm!!!!!

I miss CD singles, though some of them were over 40 minutes long.

Never bothered with downloads.
