They get a fee, the exact level is not widely known but has been described as just about enough to pay the mortgage for the duration of the process.

this article states that it's round about £2,000, regardless of how far they make it into the competition. so if you get booted out early, at least you have a good £2k

But other than that why should they. ? Just getting in opens doors in many cases - even when they are not very bright

I understand that every time Karren mercilessly rips them apart without courtesy or validity they are awarded another £10,000 in lieu of an inevitably successful court case win for defamation of character.

Bearing in mind they aren't there 12 weeks would imagine the whole thing is filmed over about 6 so 2grand for six weeks isn't great but doesn't sound as bad

Which admittedly were fairly generous. Did another game show on BBC1 and got about 300 quid for two days (between us). |
