I am not a Danny fan. He seems too self important and the sort of man who has to be right all the time. Not my cup of tea.

I'd like to have seen him talk like that to somebody like Razor Ruddock who was in there a few years ago.
Danny knew full well that Martin is the outsider, and I think he may have thought he'd earn himself brownie points with the group if he made himself look like the better newbie if he denigrated the other newbie.

I prefer to see people help each other if they're in a bad place.
It's what I loved about Chris Eubank last year where his support for Kieron Dyer was something to behold. It wasn't the overly nice 'look what a lovely person I am' for votes kind of support you usually see, he was tough, but he was sincere and supportive. It was just the perfect approach to lift Kieron's spirits and prevent him from leaving. It was as though he was a real friend even if he barely knew him.

Danny's treatment of Martin is nothing like that. He's just shaming him in front of the group. Rather than lift him up he's ensuring that Martin feels really shit about himself.

I don't see any bullying going on. He is a motormouth alright, but not a bully.

They all seem decent enough, even Martin who they tried their best to make look bad. They are trying to stir the shit up to make it more interesting. That says a lot more about the producers than it does about any of the contestants imo.

This exactly. Well said. The problem is the Twitter generation don't realise they're getting manipulated so start 'hating' contestants for no good reason other than that they've effectively been told to.

Danny and Razor would have had a whale of a time...they have the Millwall connection in common.

Well I'd like to have seen Martin ignore and snub a camp leader like Razzor Ruddick. I have a feeling he'd have much more quickly done his job which I think is something Danny recognised and put right by completely justifiably telling him off. I think Danny acted perfectly reasonably in the circumstances.

Danny's a legend!

Weird how people being forthright and saying what they think is classed as bullying?
Oh what delicate little flowers some people are.

I remember him saying he had a whole team of gay footballers but for some reason the BBC wouldn't let him broadcast it.

Sorry, stopped reading at the incredulous " gentle soul Martin" point.........

I'm sure gentle souls lurk within Piranha fish too.

I've never cared that much for Danny, but thank goodness he knows exactly how to handle the resident negative diva who now might just get something out of being there as a result.
He's doing very well in the show.

I'd much rather have Danny say something to my face than Martin sliming away in the Jungle Telegraph.

*shudder* Perfect description! I'm sure his agents paid way over the top for his airtime.
Tree hugger? Yeah, of course he is. Such amazing originality deserves a reward

Yes things like this allows the person to vent their anger then backtracking saves them from being the baddy, BUT they still got that venom out

I find Danny more a show off and a bit childish than a bully.

Danny a legend?

yes a leg end of mutton

Far too full of his own self importance to notice his brand of humor is past it now, his writing for Top Gear even failed

Yes Top Gear didn't fail because of the complete change of presenters, it was definitely to do with Danny Baker's writing. Strange point of view.

Well obviously in your opinion they were. His writing didn't fail in my opinion. Plus he was only one of the writers.

I'd imagine Danny Baker's writing would always fail with a Top Gear audience as he doesn't have a go at the foreigners enough

Well the National Bullying Helpline think that Danny and Scarlett did bully Martin.

I have to admit I thought it was unpleasant to watch but I did not think it was bullying. However, they obviously know the signs.

I'm even more convinced that TPTB had a word with the campmates as their attitude did seem to change overnight.
