In her style Lysette Anthony was actually great in that last scene. Very powerful and moving stuff. These are the sorts of scenes writers think only happen between teens and their Mums.

I used to root for Cleo and Nathan to get together but emails and him being in a relationship with Lisa have put me right off them. I actually feel sorry for Lisa and I don't like the character that much.

I enjoyed the scenes between marnie and tabby today.

Finally, the writers give marnie a bit of depth. The stuff with her mum was good and you could see that marnie is damaged somewhat. It's a awful chain reaction because she inflicts that on her son James at times.

I do enjoy the nightingales. I had to lol at how much James was loving the show tonight. 😂

Probably. They have to make Ryan looking nasty, as Ste has to be the good one.
Lisa technically didn't cheat, she dumped Nathan .

Yes, that's the first time I've found Marnie anything less than cringe-inducing. But only very slightly less

I do like Tabby (although that might be due to residual fondness for the legendary Sue Ellen

) and hope she sticks around to finally get Marnie to recognise what an awful person Mac is. What is it with women on Hollyoaks? Why are they such doormats, preferring to be with a violent a*hole like Mac rather than being independent?

I don't know why, but that scene with James taunting Ste had me wondering whether HOs could be setting things up for a love triangle between James, JP and JP's husband .... it's been a while since we had a gay love triangle. And Ste has to sleep with every gay man in the village, it's Hollyoaks law I think

James seems to be the only gay man in Hollyoaks totally immune to Ste's "charms", I really hope it stays that way!

Not only is James my favourite character but ste is my most disliked. The thought of them together. 😖

I really hope the writers never go there but like you said, it's ste. The writers will do what ever they can to keep him relevant.

I just want the show to let JP and James be, at least for a good while. Silly hope, I know.

HO do enjoy their revolving beds, and when it's gay characters it's a smaller pool. I would hate James/Ste but won't be in any way surprised if it happened.

Yes, it seems like James is immune to Ste's charms, but you know how HOs like to have everyone cheat and mess up their relationships. It just seems like something they would do. I think I've just been watching it too long, and always expect the worst. They don't usually disappoint

It does make you wonder where he gets his cash from, as you never see him with any paying clients. Just the HOs down-and-outs.

A bit like Brendan, who always seemed to have at least £100k stashed away at any one time, despite his only apparent income coming from a club that was usually empty (and not forgetting the drug deals that always seemed to go wrong!) Ah bless, good memories
