But just because they didn't immediately say they'd issue a warrant for his arrest or whatever she wanted, she went into one and made herself appear completely unhinged.
We understand why as we know the full history but to them.....
The trouble is that for all her problems and the fact that I know I should feel sorry for her, there is something fundamentally unlikeable about her.
And I don't think it is deliberate. I don't think Rush plays as unlikeable on purpose, I think we are meant to see her as a downtrodden woman who fights her corner and is to be
admired and liked.”
Excellent post and actually a lot of the time I do feel that way about the character, but then an episode like tonight or the 'van trashing' comes along , where she so utterly overacts a sitiation, and my sympathy for Anna is eroded badly!!
I agree that the police were taking her seriously at the start and would probably have taken action & investigated Phelan, but by the time she had finished her childish tantrum they would be seeing her as an embittered & somewhat unbalanced character with personal issues against Phelan & would probably not want to get involved, or if they did would be susceptible to Phelan's counter claims about Anna!!
