I liked this storyline back in 2010. It was good to introduced Lawrence and James Cunningham Kens son and grandson. It was very brief and rushed but would have been nice for James to have stayed if not Lawrence.

They were solely there to have William Roache's sons on the show, it was never going to come to anything. Ken didn't get along with Lawrence due to his homophobia, and James attempted to rob him which led to him attacking Ken and fleeing.

Plus Linus seems to be doing well for himself with other roles and lives in the United States.

I agree - Linus Roache is rather lush, I was sorry that his stay in Corrie was so short, but as he lives in the US, it's rather a long way to commute. And the grandson made off with the charity money.

I love the new "son" Daniel.
He looks and acts like his dad.

Didn't Lawrence have a daughter called Chloe that we didn't see on screen and she was at college?

I am glad there are two new actors instead of Mr. Roache's actual relatives.
These 2 new guys seem to be doing ok.

I could never quite get my head round the fact that Linus had played Peter at one point, yet there he was as a different son altogether. The whole storyline didn't really work and I think it's best consigned to the file for 'forgotten' storylines along with Michelle's baby swap

Exactly this.

It was only ever done as a publicity stunt for the 50th Anniversary and was written so that Lawrence would be short term as realitically there was/is no way that an actor doing as well as Linus is, still in the prime of his career and based on another continent was going to commit to a long stint or regular comebacks.

He did it as a favour to his Dad and the show that has employed him for so long.

I'm liking both Adam and Daniel and how they are fitting into the family.

Adam and Daniel are great, they both have actual history in the show, Lawrence and James don't really, plus Ken fell out with them both and neither seemed interested in knowing Ken.

It never works. If you look at any actor/actress who is cast in a role because they are related to a cast member, or a celebrity, they are always a disappointment.

Okay, here goes

Lawrence born sometime in 1961 to Susan Cunningham, Ken's first onscreen girlfriend. Ken was unaware he existed until 2010. So we're the viewers. James and Chloe are Lawrence's children so Kens grandchildren.

Peter and SUsan were born to Ken and his first wife Valerie in 1965. Susan married Mike Baldwin and bore him a son, Adam in 88 though again, off screen and we were told she'd had an abortion. Susan died in 2000. Simon is Peters son by Lucy.

Ken adopted Tracy, his 3rd wife Deardres daughter when she was a child. Amy is her daughter by Steve.

Daniel is Kens son by Denise Osborne born in the mid 90s when he and Deardre were divorced. They reconciled and remarried a couple of years later.

So, his grandson Adam is older than his youngest son, Daniel.

Thanks for explaining that. I kept thinking that Adam had robbed Ken previously (couldn't remember the name, just that it was his grandson) so why were they welcoming him back. Now I know that he has at least two different grandsons. Not surprising really since Ken was/is a bit of a casanova.
