Whether it's Adam or Scarlett, the producers definitely want a young person to win, so they could use them to spruce up ITV2 and the Extra camp show a bit. They are just getting everyone to vote, so that it looks genuine. No wonder the app is free.

I honestly never knew that DS had so many posters skilled in the art of mind-reading and clairvoyance.

I think Adam has been consistently okay with Martin hasn't he?
I though it was good of him to try to take some of the heat off Martin and say that he was equally to blame. It may have been better if he had done it earlier when Martin was getting it from several corners, but at least he did when he didn't have to.
Which I think says something about him.

As far as I can recall Adam has always got on well with Martin.

Doubt that very much. Theses threads involve a very small number of people

Or perception as it's otherwise known.

But it was responsibility of Martin and Adam. Why Danny and Scarlet pick on Martin only? Martin did the trial and Adam was relaxing there. It was not fair to Martin. Both Scarlet and Danny are horrible people

Do be careful not to run out of WOW!!!s.

People perceive the programme in their own way. Many have come to the same conclusion tonight using this rare, but surprisingly widespread gift.

Clearly you do not share their view, but it's not beyond the realms of possibility given the acute turnaround, to assume that 'words in ears' took place. Nothing whatsoever to do with 'perceiving the producers talking to someone/anyone' - whatever that means?

We used to have power

that was long ago when LF was covered on BB by the WHATM thread

All the papers and news outlets came to DS to find out what was happening and who sad what to who, DS and FMs were regularly quoted

We broke fight night and the Shilpa Shetty stories and because we had seen them and posted about them they could not whitwash the stories

The producers have never been that bothered about bullying before. They tend to encourage any kind of drama rather than suppress it.

So, a show that gets over ten million viewers is fixed so that they can find a presenter for a show that is watched by a fraction of that? Seems highly unlikely to me. There is no rule to say that you have to be a winner to present Extra Camp. If they want Scarlett or Adam for next year, just ask them!

This.

It was soooo obvious, they almost had Martin on a pedestal 😊😊😊😊😊

I don't think it's to find a presenter (although it doesn't hurt) but, I do believe the 10 million viewers are the key. As someone said in another thread a couple of nights ago GBBO and SCD don't rely on nastiness and spite to maintain high viewing figures, while TXF and BB have hemorrhaged viewers over the years with manipulated arguments and poison.

Although IAC isn't designed to be as "nice" as GBBO or SCD, it is seen as lighthearted entertainment where celebs do thing which most of the public wouldn't do and (for the most part) are admired for completing very difficult trails with a good spirit. Most of us don't mind the odd spate or falling out but, what was happening to Martin was uncomfortable viewing. I (for one) don't ever want to watch a Mo or Shilpa Shetty ostracism again and if I thought IAC were encouraging that sort of behaviour in the camp then I do think people would stop watching. The producers aren't stupid and the number of posts/tweets saying that Martin was being bullied was more than enough for them to do something to protect the "brand".

As for the posts about A&D's bias; well they've always had their favourites and/or people they like to encourage. I'll never forget them begging the public not to keep voting for Fash but, at the same time wearing bandanas and chanting "focus" to the cameras. The problem is when they favour someone who people don't like. Last year they annoyed me with the way they kept telling the viewers how wonderful Vicky was because I found her one of the most irritating people in the camp. For the most part A&D are the "nice" forum members who manage to say something good about all the contestants and as long as they keep their observations and comments lighthearted then IAC will continue to get 10 million plus viewers and I will be one of them.

But a wise man will tell you perception is subjective and we all bring our own baggage with us.

I've countless times seen the most innocuous action turned into a conspiracy on here...

Sums it up.

Lighthearted rivalries and 'banter' are one thing, but they don't want to risk any more Bullard/Lady C scenarios so they've nipped things in the bud. Think they want to avoid charges of bullying, real or perceived, at all costs.

Getting all the 'making up' done within the first five minutes was hardly subtle though, was it.

In my opinion Baker and Moffatt should have been removed from camp.playground bullying for airtime? Saddos.so im glad whoever it was stepped in and had a word.glad to see decent people like Lisa and Wayne in there to support Martin who seems quite vulnerable bless him.

Really? That is surprising. The view numbers on this programmes forum are not that high and the number of posts is low with a large number of the posts coming from a fairly small number of posters.

It's not that much of a stretch to believe that words would have been had with the campmates about their behavior towards Martin. It's one thing for campmates to have the odd disagreement with each other - that's normal and to be expected. To have campmates consistently targeting a particular person makes for uncomfortable viewing, especially if the person being targeted isn't a strong personality who can stand up for themselves and give as good as they get.

I can imagine TPTB watching what was going on and seeing the reactions on social media and thinking "We'd better nip this in the bud!" Let's face it, the last thing they want is Martin walking and telling the media it was because he was bullied. It wouldn't look good for the show, or the other celebs. Therefore a chat with them about their behaviour (because, to be fair, it might not have seemed such a big deal to them, and they probably didn't realise how bad it was looking to those watching on the outside) would be an easy way to sort it out before it got to a point where went too far.

Sorry for the shameless bump but looks like they have had another chat with them about Martin. Larry must have been on the toilet( or as they say dunny)or something when they were telling them
