You'd think so but in soaps it's all plot driven so lack of cctv drags storylines out

It wouldn't really be likely to have real CCTV as (a) it costs money and (b) there's nothing there to nick but you might have expected Pat to have installed a dummy camera or two.

I can't remember but the difference is that was a real building site.

Yes he did. Didn't Phelan use the footage to blackmail them? He made them work on some project for next to no money. That's how he ended up sleeping with Old Mother Windass. In return he would release Gary and Owen from their worthless contract.

But as already mentioned that was a bona fide building site.

Considering it was all a con so there wss nothing valuable there, no work being carried out,no there wouldn't be cctv.

In fact, it could even have been detrimental to them as it would prove nothing was being converted or built if anybody ever got hold of it.

The thing that's been bugging me is they must have bought the land..did they use Jason's £60k for that? Surely it wouldn't have covered all that land with building permission on it

That bit of the story is a huge SOR.

To convert the building they would have to have bought it which, with PP to convert to luxury flats in a decent part of Manchester could be up to £1,000,000 from what we saw of the building.

Luxury flat conversions in sought after inner-city locations is big money done by specialist companies, not one man bands with a couple of hundred grand.
