It sounds boring. It just looks like another week in Walford.
Max coming back on Christmas Day is a very good reason not to watch. Absolutely vile character. I have no desire to see him get any kind of revenge. I've enjoyed his suffering and was hoping it would never end. Bastard.

Why? She's only a few years younger than what Stacey was when he bonked her as a teenager. It won't make much of a difference to Max.
Also, we have to assume prison has changed Max for the worse as he's been locked up for quite a while now, so who's to say (god forbid) the new Max won't be even more of a sex pest than the old Max that you knew and loved?
If he's half as desperate for revenge as people are making out, then seducing Louise won't be a problem for Max because we know he has no qualms about seducing young girls.

Let's hope he didn't drop the soap in the shower. Difficult to see how someone as ginge and rough as him ends up getting so many women into bed. Especially that pretty female police officer. I hope we are rewarded for having to endure the painfully boring last few weeks, and that 2017 will be more dramatic. EastEnders is definitely the worse soap right now.

I'm just gonna put it down to Max being a favourite of the producers. TPTB's favourites always get their pick of the women on the Square. EE has always been unrealistic in this regard though. Dirty Den in his second stint was pulling quality women like Kate Mitchell, Sam Mitchell and Zoe Slater in his 60s with wrinkles to boot

As for the Christmas spoilers - it offers promise - the stories we are seeing now are good foundations and it is gearing up.
