Christmas in the soaps - possibe spoilers

This is from today's mirror for EastEnders, Coronation Street and Emmerdale.

The big new in Walford is that Max Branning returns on Christmas Day to make proceeding explode like a cracker. And will Phil's liver fading fast, could it be his last Christmas in EastEnders?

In Corrie, Leanne's half-sister Toyah returns to Weatherfield on Boxing Day for their version of a festive family reunion. Last seen on the cobbles 13 years ago, she comes with a lot of baggage - both physical and emotional.

In Emmerdale, the touching dementia story with Ashley continues, while Nicola and Jimmy reunite, and Zak finishes with Joanie. Ho, ho, ho.

Apparently Christmas in ED is going to be Kerry-Man centred as well. The only thing that sounds good for ED is Ashley's dementia. I was hoping the Emma plot would reach a climax at Christmas but it looks like that'll be taking a back seat (unless Emma is still trying to manipulate Ashley's memory by then?).

As for Phil Mitchell, I still think the Denise baby storyline will lead to him staying alive somehow. I think he'll either decide to be in the child's life and try and survive, and the kid will somehow be able to donate part of its liver or something? That's probably completely medically inaccurate but I'm no medical expert
