[Game] XF: Star Power | Game Thread
Welcome to a brand new game entitled Star Power. This is my ninth game overall and this is totally different from my games and any other X Factor forum game launched here.
Star Power is a forum game featuring acts from X Factor around the world. There's a massive pool of talents out there, I believe. Once the judging spots are all filled, the categories (Boys, Girls, Over 25s and Groups) will be handed out to them in a launch show special. From then on, the judges will be given their freedom to select their acts. Live Shows – this is where things would be different. On each show, there would be a theme for the song choices. Mentors would be able to decide the song choice, staging, styling and more. On each performance, aside from the comments that the judges will be giving, all judges will be giving scores (10-1) to each act. At the end of the night, the act with the highest score will be declared the "Star Performer of the Night" while the three/four acts in the bottom will be the "Weakest Performers of the Night". Then, the bottom three/four will go on a judges' vote to save one of them. The remaining two/three acts are the acts "On Probation" and will be under a public vote, the act with the least votes will be eliminated. And, the mentor of the Star Performer will be able to choose the theme for the next show. Again, that's how the show will work. Now, let's talk about the judges. I will be needing FOUR judges for my game. To apply, send me a PM stating what you will bring to the panel and what kind of judge/mentor you are. There won't be a deadline for this. I would close the applications once I have enough to create a panel. |

Great format! I'm thinking whether I'm signing up or not. I'll PM you once I made my mind.

I think you should postpone this at the meantime. I think the problem is there are too many games at the moment. There's Soap, Riley, Nic, Rick and two of mine. That's too much to handle I guess. Probably, when Second Chances and Wheel of Fortune ends, and one of the current games end, it would be a lot easier to find judges.
Plus, a suggestion, I hope you could go with a different panel, I mean something different not to offend other forum members in games. But we're getting the same rehash of judges for each game. And that makes all games right now very alike, though there are a lot of difference, due to the similar panel, it all makes it the all the same. |

That's why I haven't had a full panel yet because I want a mixed panel something not yet tried though I am choosing some from the current applications but I want to mix that with other members who haven't been in the games much the past month. |

Format
To let the show go straight away, I'll explain the format right now so you can check it out every now and then.
Every show, the contestants are assessed by the judges from the performance night. The probationary acts and the Star Performer was determined in this show. The probationary acts are the four acts (or three) who obtained the lowest scores in the performance night while Star Scholar is the one who gets the highest. Among the bottom four acts, the judges will save one. The remaining three acts will be up for public voting, and hence be the probationary acts of the week or "On Probation". By the next performance night, the two acts with the higher number of public votes will be saved and the act with the lowest votes will be sent home from the competition. Yes, I can confirm it. No results show for this show. And yes, it's true, you will have to wait till the next live show to find out who stays and who goes. Quite a big shake-up but we'll make it work! Any questions, feel free to post below! |
