What will the Christmas storyline be? Hopefully something more than the two babies born the same day or some sort of silliness. Steve at the hospital sneaking a visit to Leanne, when he gets a call to say Michelle has gone into labour up the corridor!

No he wasn't he was meant to be found out when it aired. Thats why they continued to show his scenes. The build up to xmas and xmas was meant to be the aftermath anyway which has had to be changed slightly to work in him not being there

Positive there was a story on it at the time on DS I think that said that they were minimising his airtime till they could do the exit. He had obviously already filmed the reveal (which it said in an interview somewhere) the only thing they added in was his off-screen exit. The aftermath of the reveal was always about how it affected the rest of his family and that was what was building up towards Xmas. It is mostly as it should of been apart from the slight re-writes to accommodate him no longer being onscreen
