Has Corrie ever had a UFO abduction storyline?

It might tempt me back to the show. But not Mary please, we all know she's a nutter.

I'd rather it happen to David.

What about if they use it to explain the absence of Eileen Derbyshire? She is quite a subtle actress and would nail the storyline.

I'd go for this big time.....

.....but only if it was Tracy they abducted, then bailed her out in some far off corner of a distant galaxy where she would NEVER find a way back to Weatherfield!!

I'm not all cruel though I would be even happier if they also took Amy as company for her!!

One of the soaps really need to raise awareness on the issue of alien abduction. Especially the consequences to anyone who tries to tell the truth and is deemed insane, or risk the government coming after them. Would be a great subject to explore.

I completely agree. It can be sensitively handled and even have a helpline after certain scenes.

There is so much potential here - what if Emily makes her return wandering in the Red Rec like Mr. Burns in the X Files episode of 'The Simpsons'? It would be heartbreaking.

Maybe Audrey can discover a small microchip in her neck which is used by the aliens to moniter her and no-one will believe her, even though she hears a faint beeping noise in her head?

Roy would be the best.

I think a haunting would be a better subject to tackle.

I can't recall everything that was said when they were together, but I wouldn't be surprised if either Mary or Brendan had already claimed to have been abucted and returned.

Corrie did this in 1964 with Florrie Lindley.

Sorry.

Gail has been doing her ET impression for many years.

I was just about to mention Gail/ET.

You will see that every abduction that has ever happened on the cobbles can be linked back to Gail Platt. She is the mastermind behind all of them. No doubt that dastard woman is planning an alien invasion in Weatherfield .

Maybe it's the Barlow's. I knew there was something up when Ken pretended to have a stroke and talk gibberish. He was making contact. He wasn't a bullshitter after all. His intelligence is higher than ours.

You may be onto something there, James. Ken must have been speaking in the native tongue of the Aliens, hence all the gibberish that was coming out of his mouth .

Ken and Gail must be in cahoots! They've been phooooning hoooome all along!
