So, here we are in Week 10 of the competition (where did THAT go)...and no "Shock Exit" as yet.

Are we due one - and, if so, who will be 'filling that slot' this year?

For me, if there is to be one, it will be Claudia & AJ.

Ore and Claudia both seem obvious candidates having previously survived a dance off. Robert is a prime candidate to be eliminated if there isn't a shock. I think Ed's support will see him survive a little longer still

I think the only shock exits would be Danny or Louise. It's time that either Ed or one of the fairly decent dancers left anyway.

Tameka was my shock exit.

Will was a shock exit.
And I agree with vald that Tameka went too soon.

As do I which is weird but I don't agree with Vlad on much else.

Agree on both counts actually.

Tameka was certainly an early shock...and I've just remembered I predicted Will to be a shock exit - and he was, in more ways than one.

(If I do say so myself, I'm doing well on the old prediction front this year with Will's exit and Danny getting the first "40" of the series for his Charleston!)

We sometimes get one around the quarterfinal stage. I could see it being Louise if she ended up in the D/O with Ore or Claudia (don't see Danny ever falling into the bottom two), or any of those three actually (hopefully not Claudia though!). It could happen a bit earlier I guess. I wouldn't really consider Judge Rinder going a shock at this stage, other than the fact he hasn't been in the D/O before. In terms of ability I'd put all the others above him bar Ed.

A shock exit for me would be Louise or Danny; any of the others could go anytime, though I'd be sorry to see Ore go.

Quite a lot of them have been shock exits, especially Tameka, Laura and Daisy.

Laura was very "up and down" and was really on borrowed time following her injury - so no shock for me there.

Daisy was vastly overrated & unpopular with the viewers. From the way I saw her from the beginning, she was not a shock exit when she departed.
What name??

Only Danny or Louise would be a shock and I doubt we will see that.

What we will get instead is the judges and It takes Two all pretending to be shocked just as we had them all pretending that Claudia danced well on the weekend, and that the results came out on Sunday. My mum always used to say if you start with a small lie it will grow and grow. But even in this post-reality world but they are terribly unconvincing liars as a little grain of truth helps to oil the lie.

Oh. I'd just assumed it was Vlad the Impaler.

I saw it as 'Vlad' too.

The thing with shock boots (as opposed to shocking appearances in the bottom 2) is that they kind of need to happen at the first time of asking. When someone's been dragged through two dance-offs already (as Daisy was) it's not terribly shocking when they go, even if they were a relatively high scorer.

Of the four who went first time they were in the bottom, Melvin and Naga were crap, you could see how incredibly annoying Tameka was coming across from space, and Lesley was the oldest woman they've ever had on the show. None of that was terribly shocking.

At this point Danny would be a shock boot and that's it. Even with Louise, who seems popular, people would claim they saw it coming all along because how dull/beige/blah she supposedly is and how it'd be a great victory over judge favouritism.

BIB to you and not everyone.

In any case, Tameka was not booted because she was "annoying"...if that was the necessary criteria, Rinder would have been gone aeons ago!!!
