It wouldn't be a shock if Claudia went out. As someone else has said ... only Louise and Danny would be a shock.

I've never rated Claudia and she has never been one of my favourites.

I based this on other people's perceptions that she is an apparent shoo-in for the Final, if not the win...

I think Louise may be knocked out in the quarter final if she has the Salsa or Samba (a la Pixie and Helen George)

The only shock boot would be a choice between Danny and Louise, and if Danny was sent home. It would be interesting, if both scored the same, and performed to a similar standard in the DO, which the judges would choose based on potential to wow. Still think Danny has the edge in that department....

I don't see how Tameka can be considered a 'shock' exit. Shock based on what? It was voting week two for goodness sake. Far too early to judge how popular she is, and in her case, she wasn't, so she went out. Might as well say Melvin was a shock exit. Is it because she was a half-decent dancer? I can't remember her. We know, though, that that's only half of it. Until you get a sense of how much popular support a celeb has, which takes more than one previous vote, anyone's fair game for at least the first three votes, and maybe the forth.

Not really. I've seen that coming for a long time.

Claudia would be a supprise. I think JR is going this week though and Ed will get 1 more week

The way this series has been going, one might almost say it would be a shock if Ed Balls was to be eliminated!

I'm holding out for Danny to get the boot.

I will enjoy your disappointment when he lifts the Glitter Ball.

Good for you. I'm sure he will - and be very smug about it too.

Sorry for cropping but I totally agree with that. Ore's been in the DO before and if he popped there again I wouldn't be surprised. However, if Danny ended up in the DO (unlikely but possible) I'm not sure where the judges votes would sway. I believe they would save Danny but if ends up there against Louise I wouldn't be so sure.

I think there have been some shock dance offs but no shock exits. Didn't expect Tameka or Laura to end up there but once they were there, Tameka was the weaker dancer and had a crap routine so the fact she went wasn't a shock.

Ore in the dance off was a shock but obviously he didn't go. Lesley would have been a shock in any other week but like lots of people she didn't do a great tango so I wasn't shocked. I think she'd have done better if we hadn't already seen Anton with a good partner last year.

I think the biggest shocks for me this year have been some of the marks.

Last two (possibly even last three if ATD could count as a shock) years have proven a shock at the final 6. At this point some people would probably consider Ed a "shock" because he's seen as the public fave.

I think the only result which could result in what could be described as a shock exit would be if Danny and Louise ended up in the DO.

Of the others, none of them, by this stage, could really be described as a shock as such I wouldn't have thought?

That seems about right.
The only way either Danny or Louise could fail to make the final is if they came up against each other in the DO (very unlikely.) I think Ore will make the final 3, although his performances (sometimes dodgy choreo.) have been a bit variable, so he could be vulnerable in a DO.

I'm surprised at the number of people who thought Tameka went too early - she wasn't a great dancer and I didn't care for her attitude at all.

Yeah I think only Louise or Danny would be the real shocks.

Rob would seem the obvious one to go by likely permutations as I have a suspicion that Claudia and/Ore might get overmarked to push them up the leader board. If the judges' leaderboard was something more generally representative like

Danny
Louise
Ore
Claudia
Rob
Ed

then there is a strong possibility of an Ore/Claudia dance off.

I think Louise is the key player here, if she really nails it and they're forced to give her a very high score we will see the list as above. If she is very average by her standards then Claudia and/or Ore will be above her. Can't see Danny being lower than second on that list.

Not sure why many people are putting Louise up there with Danny as a shock exit if she were to go. She is nowhere near as good as Danny. She is on par with Claudia for me, so would not be a shock if she went.

I disagree with that I think Ore would be a major shock at least to the judges - if JR has a lot of public support and Claudia genuinely does well and gets people behind I would not rule out it happening.

Why are people putting Louise on the same level as Danny? She's nowhere near as good and has been over marked from the beggining.

I agree! So long as the judges do not 'OVERMARK' Ore or Claudia just to help keep them in, it most definitely could be an Ore/Claudia dance off. I say this as watching this years bizarre markings is my authority on the fact some of the judges favourites have been helped along the way.

Watching the judges overmark week on week, is most frustrating, if not a little embarrassing at times.

Technically Louise's ballroom is better than Danny's, although Danny has had the WOW factor.

Of the two, across the board, who would you say is the better dancer technically? Clearly there is more to dance than just correct technique, but would be interested to know who those with dance knowledge think has a better technical base to work from? Louise or Danny? Or is that impossible to generalise about across so many different dances?

I ask this as a total dance ignoramus, so any constructive feedback greatly appreciated.

But Ore has been in the dance off before so it wouldn't be too much of a shock to have him there again. Situationally even Rinder on a good day could out dance Ore on a bad day although generally the odds would be in Ore's favour. Of the rest I would say he was only safe against Ed.

I can't see Judge Rinder eliminating anyone other than Ed.
