It doesn't really matter whether he'd accept his children and love them, or treat them simply as a commodity, either way it would be a storyline worth considering. Phelan is self centered and nasty, but what if he had a son who was everything he wanted to be? Rich, successful, ruthless and duplicitous, it might be someone he'd be proud to call his own?

LIz wouldn't be going anywhere, you know she likes her bad boys, she would seduce Phelan and convince him to let her stay at the Rovers with him. I'm surprised when Eileen kicked Phelan out LIz wasn't there offering him her bed for the night.
