Season 24 - Ringer/Mid-Cont/Middler/Dud
IMO:
Allison - Dud - Babyface still had potential, I just don't think she's a good teacher. Artem - Ringer - Really due someone good, and at the very least someone easy to get on with, Maureen and Mischa both seemed hard work! Cheryl - Mid-Cont - Someone a bit better than Ryan, but not a ringer. Derek - Middler - Had his worst contestant yet this season, but not due another final or win. Emma - Ringer - Really really deserves a ringer! Gleb - Mid-Cont - Someone decent, but ideally a celeb like Anita, not like Jana. Jenna - Dud - Sorry, didn't prove herself as a good teacher in my book. Lindsay - Dud - Had a few good partners in a row, so should have a less able partner next season, and then come back with a big ringer the season after, as I feel she is one of the best female pros. Maks - Not coming back anyway. Sasha - Ringer - Next season's Laurie type, please. He's not had any BAD ones, but no obvious contenders. Sharna - Ringer - Sharna's a really good pro who has paid her dues, so I don't mind if she keeps getting good partners until she wins. Val - Dud - Not going to happen, but I would love to see him with a Paula Deen type. Witney - Mid-Cont - Had a dud this season, so someone a bit better next time. What do you think? |

I say Gleb Ringer
Jenna Ringer since she had a poor 1st partner and Sasha Middler since Terra was his Ringer& apart from this I agree with OP |

Imo, DWTS needs a lot of changes. Starting with the pros:
Allison - Not good enough Artem - Not good enough. Mean Cheryl - Nothing left to offer Derek - Nothing left to offer/too much baggage (although imo the best pro ever) Emma - Deserves a strong dancer Gleb - Reasonable Jenna - Not good enough Lindsay - Not good enough/annoying Maks - Terrible/Terrible attitude Sasha - Reasonable Sharna - Decent Val - Decent. Needs to cut out his OTT BS each season about friendship/honour/responsibility/privilege/love/puppies/peace Witney - Shockingly bad So for me, most of the pros arnt fit for purpose. Not least because they have a habit of treating partners poorly/having meltdowns. They should bring in some new blood, although knowing the show that would mean a group of 18 year old hip hop dancers. I also wouldn't mind if they tried changing the pairings up each week. That would be interesting. Also, they should get rid of contemporary. It tells the same story every dance. Get rid of "guest judges". Asking a bunch of singers to sit at the table just serves to invalidate the whole process. Get rid of Carrie Ann. She only talks in hyperbole. Tell Julie Ann to stop shouting. Get rid of Len and Bruno too. Cut out the endless sob stories. Tell Erin to stop gushing over everyone and demanding they perform tricks for the audience. |

so if Tony or Mark's back what would you say? id say Mark's due a duffer& id personally love to see Tony with a Ringer but since his choreography isn't exciting enough id be happy if he got a middler, he deserves a break from duffers what say you Joe?

I think pro wise:
Alec, Derek, Maksim, Mark, Tony Cheryl, Edyta, Karina, Kym, Peta It needs to go back to basics. It gives 1 new male and 1 new female pro to join to make up 12 couples. Give Derek, Mark older contestants. Give Alec, Tony more "ringer" partners. Carrie Ann, Len and Bruno should be the only judges. Replace Erin with another female host.

I would agree with both of those statements.

I'm shocked anyone could want Tony back. He's been on the show for 20 years and probably managed a decent routine once (not had the best celebrity's true but his body of work remains below average). Seems to have a chip on his shoulder too.
The way he ignores a partner when/if they freeze mid dance does make for compelling viewing however. |
