This Is Us - (UK Pace) On Channel 4 (No Spoilers)
New hit US Show starts on Channel 4 on 6th December at 9pm. I've seen trailers for this and it looks very good. Big fan of Sterling K. Brown who was brilliant in The People vs O.J. Simpson.
Sometimes life will surprise you. Starring Mandy Moore (“A Walk to Remember”), Milo Ventimiglia (“Heroes,” “Gilmore Girls”) and Sterling K. Brown (“The People v. O.J. Simpson: American Crime Story”), this refreshingly honest and provocative series follows a unique ensemble. As their paths cross and their life stories intertwine in curious ways, we find that several of them share the same birthday and so much more than anyone would expect. From the writer and directors of “Crazy, Stupid, Love” comes a smart, modern dramedy that will challenge your everyday presumptions about the people you think you know. |

Got it on series record. I love Justin Hartley. I was gutted when he left The Young and The Restless back in the summer but it's paid off as he is now starring in one of the US's top new dramas. It's demos have been consistently high. A second season is 100 per cent likely.

Without meaning to sound negative, i wonder how long it will last on channel 4 until it shuffled away to E4. US shows on the main channels never last long.

Great show
This is a great show, bit like a modern day Thirtysomething which performed very well for C4 in the 80's. Not seen much advertising of it, think it would do better if launched early Jan rather than just b4 Xmas, the same goes for Timeless that E4 are launching on Dec 19th

Really enjoyed this and that twist was brilliant. Can't wait to see how the rest of this pans out.

We don't watch many American dramas at all but there was nothing on in the 9pm slot so recorded it to watch on the planner.
Just finished watching and we both enjoyed it. The part where the doctor explained that not all babies survive and that's why he got into the profession was a bit close to home for me, but it didn't make me sad at all. Just brought back memories from 30yrs ago. I guessed ten minutes from the end that they were the twins(from the triplets) and my husband said " yes and I think the third triplet is the abandoned baby" Overall brilliant, and just recommended it to my daughter who will also love it! Looking forward to next week....... |

Was the brief male nudity (at the beginning of the first scene) in the US broadcast version too?
I know this kind of thing has been seen on US network television before (NYPD Blue made a habit of it), but they seem to have gone backwards in recent years (since the Janet Jackson SuperBowl incident I think). I don’t think I’ve seen any nudity of any type on US network television for years. Just curious... |

An amazing pilot. Didn't see the twist coming at all. I was there going why is that fire man smoking in a hospital and then It kinda clicked that he was gonna adopt the little boy and then the water works started lol
