But isn't that part of what waiting for the story to unfold and see why they are the way they are all about? The twins both seem to have issues. For Kate it's her weight, for Kevin he's a self absorbed narcissist who has to rely on her or others to function. Randall seems the most sorted of the three of them.
Exactly. As someone who's on US pace I think I can say without spoilers that it would be extremely unwise to reach any conclusions about anybody at this stage.

That is no spoiler, cos let's be honest the whole show is relying on the WT_ moments throughout.

Illegally watching TV through Kodi or something similar no doubt.

Just a reminder that Episode 3 is on tonight, although judging by the lack of posts, not many on these forums seem to be watching it.
I wouldn't go by the lack of posts on this occasion, there are still some people who haven't made their way back to the forums since that forced break by DS - like me! I can recall trying to quote a couple posts re. the 2nd episode and getting nowhere. Now I can't remember what I was going to say!

I am liking the episodes so far. I would have thought the switching scene between the different eras would be confusing but it doesn't spoil the viewing or the plot at all, easy to follow. Really liking the boyfriend of the female twin, sounds like the ideal best friend you'd want - regardless of whether you're male or female!

Well said, that All4 exclusive "Walter Presents" bollox is bugging the sh*t out of me. Have not watched any of them online as squinting at a 14" pc monitor is not entertainment in my eyes.

I watch mostly TV5 and BBC Four nowadays.

I started to watch Locked Up on my Apple TV but although the programmes itself is brilliant, I am having a hard time watching it as I can't fast forward the ads.

On a wider note, Walter Presents has turned out to be a damp squib IMO as it seems both BBC4 and Sky Arts has lost out to them and there are not so many new foreign dramas being aired on those channels this year.

Modus is excellent on BBC4, though.

I don't normally post on here during a series because of spoilers. But, just popped in to have it noted that I absolutely love this series; it is a "must watch" for me.

Well it didn't take long for Channel 4 to lose interest and stick it on a later slot

What's it moved to? I'm pretty sure my planner was showing last night's epidode recording at the usual time. But, like most programmes on commercial tv, it's all about the ratings and if the show isn't getting them it will be moved aside for something else.

At the end of last nights episode they said it would be on at 22:00 from next week.

Hardly a massive move then, to me 9pm and 10pm are prime time for when I watch tv.
"Stick it on at a later slot", as you put it, in C5 speak means 11pm or later so thank yourself lucky. Anyway, just record it and watch it back next day advert free as I, and many others, do.

They may have been given a nudge by Ofcom, of course! Either way it could well do better at 22.00. A little less gloom and doom, if you please.

Liking it a lot too, but I do find the switching between time periods a bit confusing at first, though I soon adjust to where we are!

Thinking now after viewing three excellent episodes of this that Sky Atlantic would not be interested in it. No nudity, softcore or filthy language. Just a poignant family drama, the likes of which don't seem to get made made anymore. NBC commissioned a nugget with this.

Zombies, werewolves and Vampires have eaten all the normal people it seems.

Sky Atlantic airs Blue Bloods, an American import that doesn't have any nudity, softcore, or filthy language either.

Me too. Just caught up on Episode 3 and realise I've been missing shows like this, since thirtysomething really.

Was too young to understand Thirtysomething when it was on, but agree. Party of Five was the last similar family based drama I watched. Very good move by NBC.

Mandy Moore must drive other women crazy. She has it all, teen popstar who grew up to be even more beautiful as an adult and she can act very well too.

Excellent show and the first must see mainstream US drama for quite a while.

I'm liking it more and more. Towards the end of the first episode I was thinking "this is the most cliched sentimental tosh I've watched in a long time" But I'm very glad I stayed around, as it has become more and more engaging.

I particularly like the portrayal of Kate - she isn't played to the stereotypical fat girl screechy template at all; good work by Chrissy Metz.
Toby on the other hand is just way too good to be true.

But pretty sound acting all round, I think.

Yes, thanks. I note it got bumped to 10pm because Channel 4 have yet another diet toshumentary on at 8pm. Is Channel 4's main audience pre-teen girls ?

I've only just now realised that I've missed the previous episode. Anyone know if I can still view this somehow?

Edit: I think I can get it on All4.
