A little song from Mandy Moore's character, Rebecca, last night, was excellent. No need for dubbing there, she has a great voice, inevitable they would make full use of the multi-talented Ms. Moore.

I don't like Toby, Kate told him that she wanted to watch the Super Bowl on her own but he didn't listen and then ended up feeling awkward when she introduced him to her dad. On a side note, I wonder when we will find out what happened to him.

After catching up with the latest episode I think Ive finally lost patience with this show.

Every single character is so selfish and has the social skills of a rabid Neanderthal. Toby HAD to butt in the football ritual and then promptly tries to interfere with watching the game. Jack HAD to sulk during the first half of the Super Bowl because he hadn't talked to his wife about their family. Beth just HAD to jump scare Randall at the THAT precise moment AND failed to mention at a more appropriate time about the change in her medication. And sorry should never ever be left in charge of children ever again.

I realise there have to certain actions and reactions in a television show in order to create the drama or expand the storyline or character progression. But it's every week and almost every character does something so monumentally crass, stupid or just plain b****y awful that you have to wonder how Any of them have any sort of relationship.

As there seems to be more shows I enjoy returning in the next few weeks I suspect This Is Us will not be much longer on my viewing list.

I guess Jack drank himself to death.

I don't know what to feel about episode 5. It didn't help that at the time I had not seen the previous one (just caught up with it now!) but there wasn't much info to gain from it. I guess we know the dad is definitely dead and the actor guy is a bit of a crap uncle.
There's something about Randall's wife that makes me not take on to her and this episode supported that idea. I can't believe she couldn't have found a time to tell her husband that she thought she was pregnant when they sleep together every night.

I don't like Toby, Kate told him that she wanted to watch the Super Bowl on her own but he didn't listen and then ended up feeling awkward when she introduced him to her dad. On a side note, I wonder when we will find out what happened to him.
But Kate then accepted the invite to go to his place to watch it instead. I think she was more disappointed when she turned up to see that his mate was there too as opposed to just the two of them.

I reckon we'll find out about the Dad at a later stage as we're only at episode 5.

^^ Yep episode 5 of 18 so plenty of time to find out how he died (maybe booze is too obvious) and the details of all their back stories. Didn't The Manny allude to his upbringing not being ideal last night so maybe we'll see the happy American footie supporting family implode.

Thinking now after viewing three excellent episodes of this that Sky Atlantic would not be interested in it. No nudity, softcore or filthy language. Just a poignant family drama, the likes of which don't seem to get made made anymore. NBC commissioned a nugget with this.Zombies, werewolves and Vampires have eaten all the normal people it seems.
I agree, exactly why I like it.

Mandy Moore must drive other women crazy. She has it all, teen popstar who grew up to be even more beautiful as an adult and she can act very well too.
No, some of us women are capable of not being jealous of other women who have done well for themselves.

I don't like Toby, Kate told him that she wanted to watch the Super Bowl on her own but he didn't listen and then ended up feeling awkward when she introduced him to her dad. On a side note, I wonder when we will find out what happened to him.
I don't like Toby either, finding him irritating and when he was passing that note along when the woman was talking at the meeting I wanted to slap him.

Welcome to DS Mandy, it's great that you can find the time from your busy filming schedule to post in here!
