It was well established she was part of Callum's drug empire, and that she even took them herself.

She is responsible for Kylie's death. If she didn't get into fights with customers, Kylie wouldn't have intervened hence being the one stabbed. Mind you the incident was sorta karma as Kylie was a killer herself, so yeah...

She did take drugs and she was part of Callum's gang, but she wasn't responsible for Kylie's death. She did the right thing by challenging Clayton who was trying to launder money through the kebab shop, wasn't he? She stood up to him and refused to do just as she was told. I admire her for that. Kylie chose to get involved when she saw Gemma was in trouble - her choice, although I admire her for that too.

Poor old Ken. I wonder if Audrey's thanking her lucky stars she didn't take things to the next level () with him now he's had his stroke.

I often feel that if I disagree with what appears to be the forum consensus, which is often not the same as the general public's, I get verbally attacked unfairly and unnecessarily. No one's attacking you, but you did try and criticize Sorcha for not liking Gemma and liking Phelan, as if that sums up anything about her. I (and some others) felt that there was an unfair undertone to your comment. Yes, diverse opinions are allowed, this forum isn't a hive mind, but it's how people go about disagreeing with the opinion that matters, criticizing people for not agreeing with you or making sweeping comments about those who don't like a character (Cool_Mate) aren't respectful ways of doing it and will lead to unnecessary drama. I'm a long time lurker on here, I've seen a lot of instances where people start arguments with other members because they disagree with their posting style rather than ignoring them. I believe it's what's caused some of the more fun members to leave the forum to go elsewhere.

So the things that she said to me are ok, such as "bitchy digs", being on "my high horse", "passive aggressive" and needing to "grow up"? Whereas Cool mate calling her out for these comments and saying the comment was "rude as ****" is not ok? I'm sorry I really don't understand the rules. I think the things that were said to me were far more provocative, but obviously I've got it wrong somehow, as more people seem to agree with you.

I absolutely love Gemma. She's such a breathe of fresh air in CS.Her character is open, uneducated , witty and funny. It implies that she's had a rough kind of upbringing and has had to survive off her wits previously. She's honest and kind and repays kindness with as much love as she can. Stay for as llong as you can Gemma and don't allow them to change your loyal personality. Good actress btw''... very convincing

You conveniently forgot to say she is also broke and cheated Phelan out of 15000. I'll never forgive her for that. She's a bottom feeder.

When did she cheat Phelan out of 15000? I'm confused.

Because she didn't have any money for Phelan to extract from her. I was maybe too unkind calling her a bottom feeder, she's just a regular scumbag. 😤

I don't buy that Gemma was led astray by Callum, she seemed very happy to serve him as his minion. If Corrie bothered showing her having some restraint or second thoughts about his dodgy behaviour I would be fine, but as usual Corrie just gave her a personality transplant, probably knowing Paula Lane was leaving for good so needed another rough girl with a "heart of gold" to replace her.

Even after Callum's death she worshiped him and happily reminisced about his criminal history.

But we never see them as a couple? They might as well not exist because on screen they do nothing together. No breakfast scenes, no kiss before they go to work, nothing.

I think Chesney and Gemma could really work, they've got contrasting personalities but that's what it makes it interesting, Chesney is quite quiet and reserved whereas Gemma is loud and brash, and yet they still get along so well. There's a lot of humour there that could be explored as well.

Thanks, I will keep that site in mind. It's getting to the stage where you think you are trying to decipher the dead Sea Scrolls. That will be my go to site in future. Thanks again.

i wasn't making sweeping comments tho

i just waded in to defend Donna65 cos i know what it feels like to feel attacked on this forum for no reason cos its happened to me before. its not nice. Sorcha healy went off on one big time for no reason when Donna was only asking a question why she liked a awful character like Phelan so much, but not Gemma, she didn't have to b so cocky about it telling her to grow up or get off her high horse or that she thought she was a kid or whatever

You were - you said anyone who doesn't like Gemma doesn't have a sense of humour. Reading this thread a lot of people don't like her - does this mean they don't have a sense of humour?

her full name is Gemini or so corriewiki says:

http://coronationstreet.wikia.com/wiki/Gemma_Winter

Gemini "Gemma" Winter is an old friend of both Kylie Platt and Callum Logan

Gemini?! is that her starsign in the show or something? I've never heard anyone call Gemma Gemini on the show
