The show has had its day, they can't even attract one internationally known celeb these days. I doubt if anybody enjoys the insect and reptile trials if they are done too easily - the show really needs at least one Helen Flanagan or Gillian McKeith to sabotage the proceedings..

They are now unable to do anything orginal.

All they can say is that there are more creatures in there than ever before.

Not a fan of the creature ones either.

What I'd really love to see on this show is a couple more bigger budget endurance trials that are multi-person and repeated from series to series.

Celebrity Cyclone is amazing, why can't they have another 2 or 3 trials like that which involve the group?

Agreed, once they know they are harmless, there is no reaction from the contestants.

The trials started so well with the underground one as well...

The programme has been utter tripe for years and exists purely to satisfy the advertisers wanting to reach a large audience with their Christmas campaigns.
Thankfully that audience is in rapid decline which might force ITV to come up with some new ideas but not before they've flogged this tired old horse for another three years......

There don't seem to be nearly enough physical challenges anymore - Joel's high-climbing trial was a good example. These are much more exhilarating to watch. Personally, I can't watch the eating/drinking tasks at all. They turn my stomach. The task tonight, where there were creatures crawling in/around nostrils and ears do absolutely nothing for me either.

I was just very glad that they did allow Martin to use those tweezers

Really bored of the creature trials and the eating trials. The creatures are having zero effect on the current crop of campmates, with the exception of Adam and his hilarious reaction to spiders.

They all know by now that the snakes and rats are totally harmless.

The producers should introduce a new species - maybe get the emus back or release some baby rabbits into a pen and make the campmates compete to see who can put them all into a smaller pen in the quickest amount of time.

The rats, in particular, seem almost cuddly. They're so well groomed looking. Crabs? Well, they might nip; but so what? As Lisa? (I think) said tonight, it's like an alternative pedicure. The snakes just waft their way around your forehead. They obviously select non-lethal spiders who are clearly more terrified of the campmates than they are of them.

The only thing that would freak me out is the idea of something (cockroach, ant etc.) burrowing into my ear or slipping up my nostril.

Im not sure where you've got this from considering the launch show had ITV's highest ratings of the year and the show still gets on average around 9 million - which is pretty big for 2016

I read that the audience was lower than recent years and I'm amazed that anyone watches such a clapped out entreprise or The X Factor either.
ITV will eventually have to replace both programme but I doubt we'll see anything 'new' which shows a bit of imagination.

They're getting tired out and boring when there are loads of great trials which could be tried out . .

How can you be bored with the trials? They're using more creatures now than they have ever used before, as they keep telling us.
Can't you tell? They used to use 10,000 cockroaches, now they use 15,000. It makes all the difference when you watch the trials.

No, you're right. I'm bored of them too and I felt even more aware of it last night. I'm not sure what it is but I think it's because it feels like most trials are just a case of chucking a load of bugs and creatures into a tank with a celebrity and just waiting. That's pretty much it.
They try to jazz it up by showing lots of quick cutaways and edits, but it feels like I'm just waiting around biting my nails and waiting for the clock to run down.
There doesn't seem to be any imagination to them.
Put celebrity in an enclosed space, put bucket of creatures in there with them, and just wait for the clock to run down. Rinse, cycle, and repeat.

Didn't they used to create more adventurous trials before or has it always been mostly like this and we've just got too used to the same thing?
Honestly I felt bored watching another trial with bugs and snakes crawling around somebodies face and having to wait till the clock runs down. I don't know how often they've done that this series but it feels like a hell of a lot.

Well it appears that their imagination has stretched to drinking for the next trial.

I guess that when a show consistently gets a high audience every year complacency sets in, and they don't try because they don't have to.

The creature and eating trials have been done to death.

I sat through the last few nights trials wishing it was over.

There is a real lack of imagination with the current production.

This has definitely been the worst series of IAC, even Ant and Dec look bored stiff and don't seem to be able to drum up any enthusiasm.
