Why have Ant and Dec suddenly become not funny anymore
Watching them tonight. It is like they are trying too hard to be funny when in the past it came naturally to them. The entire series is like they are both trying to be funny straight away instead of just presenting the show

I think its the lack of laughter from the crew in the studio that is making the atmosphere weird.

Maybe the lack of laughter from the crew in the studio is because there jokes are not funny. I think they should sack their scriptwriter as he is crap

I've really noticed this this year. It's like they've lost enthusiasm for it or something. They're running at low revs, definitely - not committing, not effusive, not bouncing off each other as much as usual.

Whereas before most of the cast were of some knowledge to the crew It's rather surprising that viewing figures are still healthy will such a dull series |

the scriptwriters haven't got a lot to work with as the campmates are so dull, only Martin and Adam offer any real piss taking chances

They are the main reason i watch IAC , i love it when they take the piss out of the camp mates , but i agree there seems to be less humour from them this year , its as though they have been given less time to do their little jokes, i think every year they have made me belly laugh at least once every series , but nothing this year.

Yes i have noticed as well something missing.
They seem harmless enough compared to the 4 complete idiots on the other show!! |

Their jokes are crap this year. They seem like really old predictable jokes that you've heard a thousand times before.
This might be a factor as to why they don't seem as natural as well. |

Ant was doing a lot of shouting tonight for no reason... they both just need to chill out, maybe. It's coming across as too false.

Tonight wasn't funny but I think they've been okay overall across the series.

There's not enough parodies of the source materials the celebrities are from, I've noticed.
For example, the homes under the hammer music thing was quite funny. And definitely the sort of thing that was rife in earlier series. It's those sorts of jokes that are missing. |

We could have: Greg Wallis Nick Knowles Ant McPartlin Gordon Ramsey Alan Carr I know there's loads more but that could be sorted out in time. It would just be who could shout the loudest for the longest of time, game over, it may also kill off all of these blummin shouty game shows. We could vote them out by most annoying, that would be fun. Anyone got any formula ideas out there? Any formats you can think of? Ten minutes in we would all be turning off and never want to hear them or see any of them again. I like one or two of them but this shouting business is getting on me wick big time. |

To which his partner Ant, also 41, replied: ‘Basically, it’s like being the Australian prime minister!’ Queensland MP George Christensen said: ‘Far be it for me to take offence of the inane ramblings of some reality TV show star wants to spew out, but actually there’s a long-standing joke in Australia about the Brits not washing, so Senators, MP's making comment, this has to be the British tabloid media winding it up |

It was just a joke though , and I get that some Australians will watch in the UK but is ITV showing it in Australia or did lots of Australians in the Uk suddenly phone home to tell people to complain or did some of delightful media make it into something bigger than it was ?

Tuesday night they were on form, had me laughing anyway. Not so much tonight, but still entertaining enough.

There has been something "off" about this whole series, not just Ant and Dec. Not sure what it is though, as I can't put my finger on it.

They use to be funny when they did impressions of the camp mates but they are getting nothing from this bunch but it's their own fault they are giving them treats left right & centre i want to see more drama more arguments.
