I know it's hard for you to believe as a viewer, but I think 24hrs a day they probably do forget after a while that everything is being recorded.
I've had similar discussions with friends. They were talking about things their life has given/taken away from them and Scarlett was on about how she only left her job this time last year and can't believe she's in the jungle. I don't see why it's such a bad thing that she's proud of the fact she has managed to get a decent career and been able to help out her parents so that they don't have to worry.
I just don't get why people think everybody is thinking of cameras and media exposure all the time. Scarlett doesn't come across that way at all. It seemed like a friendly chat between friends. Presumably you were irritated by Wayne broadcasting that he never got to spend Christmas with his family? Or that Larry had a child who he doesn't see? They are talking as friends and friends talk about a vast amount of things.
