Why is Eileen not more angry with Todd for being in on it?

Why is Todd not more angry with Phelan for leaving his mum and brother in the shit?

She thinks Vinnie run away with the money, again she got half truths.

Lets be honest Eileen is thick as shit when it comes to the truth, multiple people have told her the deal and she never believes them, thats why Todd gave up in the end joined Phelan.

To be fair, not everything has been revealed just yet. Phelan is pinning it all on Vinny and claiming that as far as he was concerned, everything was legitimate. The only people that know the full truth are Todd and Anna, with Andy being suspicious. So far, only Eileen knows for definite that the flats were a scam, Sarah and Gail probably won't know what to believe. Eileen seems to be suspecting Phelan had more involvement than what he's saying, with the way she hid from him as the police were leaving and the way she mentioned Michael's death as she was kicking him out. Of course, she can't say she wasn't warned.

Todd is looking likely to crack. I don't think he fully thought about what would happen after they took the money. He seemed to think that he'd hide away his share of the money while and the dust would blow over in no time. Now he's seeing how devastated his mum is and he's realised that they'd both have to bare the grunt of the blame from those who were ripped off, as well as feeling guilty for his part in it.

Todd will keep on at Eileen that it was Vinnie. Sooner or later she will miss Phelan again and go after him

Hoping Anna is run over by a truck. What an effing misery. She isn't happy until everyone around her is reduced to the same misery as she is...

I'm hoping that everyone will believe that it was just Vinny that conned everyone, so that Phelan can return and take revenge on Anna, maybe Phelan and Todd can convince everyone that Anna has it all wrong and no one believes her.

Back sometime in the New Year.

Todd and Eileen seemed to accept it was all Vinney's fault, but did not challenge further why the scam message heard by Anna and Michael fully implicated Phelan as well.
They seemed to miss that vital fact.

I thought it was very good last night. Loved Eileen slapping Phelan. I am surprised that such a practised con man would let himself be conned so easily by Vinnie, and trusted him enough to allow sole access to the bank account, even though he is a supposed mate. What about the 30 grand's worth of tiles that Eileen ordered and arrived when Michael died? Will they get the money back for them or sell them to repay some of the people they owe money to?

I thought Eileen was pretty realistic. She was being told different things by different people and so doesn't really know how truthful any of it is, so who does she believe? At the same time, she's angry at herself for not knowing/not finding out/not being suspicious/not looking after Jason's money better.

Too much going around in her mind to be able to rationalise it all properly and she'll keep coming back to how how she's going to tell Jason and various questions about whether she should have seen the signs herself. She won't want to believe that Phelan and Todd were involved as she'd naturally assume they were on her side.

They won't be able to return the tiles as they were bought in a sale and that was a couple of months ago now. I daresay they'll be able to sell them somehow but they won't get back anything like £30k. Jason might have a few contacts but he's not even in the country.

That said, there's probably other people that Vinny/Phelan owe such as whoever's provided the portacabin, site fencing, phones/power etc.

Great post Ben!!
I think Sue Cleaver conveyed all that you've said here superbly last night!!
As with many Corrie actors, when given scenes to get her teeth into she stepped up a gear & nailed the performance!!

It was Sorcha!!
I make no secret of the fact I'm no great Phelan fan but the scenes between him, Eileen & Todd last night were superb!!
Also the scenes with Daniel, an excellent new addition to the cast!!

Really glad this exciting storyline is over now so I can relax and suck on a Worthingtons original and watch Roy plan his wedding, the Corrie writers need to concentrate on Roy and Averline from Bread more and focus on wedding planning more, its great TV.

I don't think she will and to be honest why should she?

She's also massively out of pocket. Yes its harsh but they have only lost £15k, she was entrusted with Jasons money, around £60k wasn't it! They have lost all that and having to deal with the fallout.

More fool all these people for not looking into it in finer detail. Who pays a deposit on a flat without asking to see the site and see how things are coming along. They have all got to take the blame.

I thought the same initially OP, I was thinking why isn't she having a go at Todd?

Then I realised she thought Vinny had scammed them all, instead of him being involved. So I think it was a pretty realistic reaction.

I also though Sue Cleaver put in a great performance last night.
