We should spare a moment to consider that Phelan is the victim of con-man Vinny too, he didn't deserve to be treated in such a callous way by someone who he thought was a friend, although the great man would be the first to say he doesn't want our pity, just hope he can recover from such a callous and undeserved act of betrayal and hopefully Eileen will come to her sense and realise Phelan is not to blame.

Phelan doesn't have friends. He has people he uses to his own ends and Vinnie was one of them helping him make the scam work.

So satisfying to see the con man getting out-conned.

You are obviously allowing your hatred of Phelan cloud your judgment on this, so allowances will be made.

I am under no delusion whatsoever, just having a bit of fun on the forum, I believe fun is still allowed.

One of the main reasons for the predicament he's in was his mistake In trusting everyone he came in contact with. He thought everybody had his standards. Little did he know those bloodsuckers on that street would suck every dollar out of him and throw him to the Lions. Eileen was the worst offender. Phelan is left with his whole life in a little bag while she's livin' large with 30000 pounds worth of tiles. The worst crime of all though is nobody cared about his jaundiced old scouser/irish mother and her broken heart. The cobble heads should be ashamed of themselves. I hope that the copious amount of ale they consume tastes a little sour in their gobs. There is a lesson to be learned from this, no good deed goes unpunished.

Exactly this, at least that thief Michael got his comeuppance for plotting against Phelan and the awful Anna her legs being burnt was karma for the way she persecuted Phelan you would have thought she would have learnt her lesson but still she continues with her foul lies.

That's why I added a smiley for you - not something I do very often.

But he wasn't conned by one of the plebs. All they do is bitch and whine

He was outgunned by a fellow con-man. Which is a good in a way..Even Phelan can raise a smile to this. If circumstances were different.....he'd have done the same...

I haven't seen the episodes yet but I know it will break my heart to see Phelan get the thin end of the wedge again. Even hearing of it second hand is upsetting and has left me physically ill. How I have the strength to put my finger on this keyboard is beyond me.

The people who invested didn't know it was a scam, but Phelan knew what Vinny was like and still allowed himself to get the short end. Therefore he's more of an idiot. Perhaps not out of pocket from his own money, but an idiot nonetheless.

They'll have less money than they once did, but he's still an idiot.

What do you think? Of course he isn't - he's just trying to wind people up, and obviously doing a god job.

I'm with you all the way except for the BIB. If you like Phelan then why do you want to punish him by having him trapped with Horrible Eileen Now she's kicked him out he needs to move on. Eva will be single soon what with Aidan clearly after Maria and I'm sure she would appreciate some Phelan charm

I don't have to resort to insults to describe a character

So does Eileen think Phelan was part of the scam or does she think he was stupid to trust Vinny and that's why she's angry? Because if she just thinks that he was stupid then she was unreasonable to kick him out.

You sure about that?

Fair enough

But the residents of Coronation Street have turned in "the hills have eyes" zombies. They are so many imbeciles amongst them - Chesney, Kirk, Sinead, Beth, Dev etc so when a predator is set lose amongst them

And yes, he has done alot for Corrie - the ratings have shot up...

Trust me to miss very two very important episodes (live) and like Annaphelatic, I'm still struggling to take it all in...

Yes, he is a victim but, he is so strong in mind, body and soul that he doesn't flinch in verbal and physical bouts of negativity directed towards him (For the latest bit off disrespect, see Vileen's power slap)

He's already figuring out how to regain what was taken from him. I am sure that he will be putting the pheelers out to vanquish that criminal vampire, Vincent (Half) Price.

All I will say is that THE KING will return more revered than ever.

Long live THE KING.

All hail!
