A lot of likes corrolate quite closely with Monkseal's;
I'm not going to comment on serieses 1 and 2 as i didn't watch enough to form an opinion but I suspect in series two I would have liked all three finalists and I do remember Aled Jones's creation of chracters for each dance on ITT which was quite endearing. I also saw Quentin Wilson's infamous cha cha cha (anyone who thinks Greg was the worst at this really ought to watch that) and I think it would have mustified me why Diarmud Gavin kept gettting voted back in (he was so bad that he made Nicole Cutler cry in sheer frustration of failing to get him to learn anything and this is the woman whom on the first tour the organisers approached because she was at risk at managing to improve Chris Parker enough to diminish his comic 'appeal'.
Series three:
mostly liked all the last six for differing reasons.
The one exception was Patsy Palmer - thinking about her makes me realise why perhaps some people might not have liked Natalie Gumede because of her chracter on Corrie because I hated Bianca Jackson but Patsy did manage to be a bit of an arse in her own right - she gave lip to the judges and wasn't that funny about it to the extent where she got Craig to legitimately lose his temper with her. She was also horrible overmarked for her American Smooth which endangered James Martin who wasn't luckily the public didn't agree and voted James back in ahead of her and justice was served.
Series four;
loved - Ramps, Louisa, Carole Smile, Claire King and Peter Schmichael (lovely ballroom, a dramatic tango, bad but funny samba and he came across as simultaneously cool and warm hearted at the same time)
disliked - Jan Ravens - couldn't take critisism and behaved like a toddler throwing a tantrum when evicted and failed to be grateful at being saved despite the fact that a much better dancer went to keep her in.
Series five;
loved - Matt DA, Alesha, Steph Beacham, and pretty much everyone even Gaby I felt her being peeved at being eliminated early was legit and was unfairly judged by the public for criteria that no one would have minded in the slightest in a man
disliked: Dom Littlewood (I liked him at first because he was danced like I probably would enthiastically with no sense of rhythm but the week he was evicted he showed his true colours and they were not pretty. It's telling that Lilia who loved everyone else she was partnered with (even showing a touching respect for the hard work Richard Dunwoody put in to try and improve) absolutely hated him.
Series six:
loved - Austin Healey, Jodie Kidd, Cherie Lunghi, Don Warrington, John Sargeant (at first at least - everyone forgets he did a lovely waltz at the start and he had a great rapport with Kristina), Tom Chambers (at the end) - surprisingly entertaining foxtrot and great showdance
disliked: Lisa Snowdon - simpering judges pet with terrible latin, Gary Rhodes, Christine Bleakley - got previous about her QS marks despite them being both fair and generous and her terrible cha cha cha got her saved at Jodie's expense and her fans kept saving she should win because she was the only 'nice' person in the competition to quote Tamika's character - Do me a favour?
Series seven:
loved - Jade Johnson, Chris Hollins, Nat Cassidy had her moments and also Jo Wood (who unlike many of that years duffers seemed to understand she was rubbish), Ricky Groves (he was fun at first)
disliked: Rav Wilding (ungracious exit), Joe Calzage, Natalie Cassidy (towards the end - she was starting to get severe delusions of grandeur)
Series eight:
loved: Kara Tointon, Matt Baker, Hamela, Scott, Jimi Mistry (he wasn't the best dancer in the world but was a lovely man and I wanted to see the Bollywood themed samba at Blackpool that Flavistry would have done)
disliked: Widdy, Michelle Williams - if you think Anatasia was precious about her marks
Series nine:
loved: pretty much all of the final yes even Jason - some great dances early on and I quite like that he's embraced the fact he's a bit of stuffy old ham in his middle age (he always even he was young was actually), Nancy (she was hilarious - I still can't work out if it was intentional or not), Anita Dobson
disliked: bloody Lulu
Series ten:
loved; Dani Harmer, Micheal Vaughan - always came across as lovely with a self-depecatiing sense of humour and his and Natalie's hard work made him into a really good ballroom dancer by the end, Colin Salmon, Louis Smith, Lisa Riley (at first) - it was great to see an overweight woman top the leaderboard and deserve it)
disliked: Jerry Hall (the lady did nothing and she knocked out Johnny Ball doing it too-grr), Lisa Riley (by the end) - she became the worse sort of the judges's pet like a spoiled child never called out on her rubbish and so never got any better and even Craig lost all sense of perspective, I was terrified she was going to make the final at Louis's expense and couldn't wait for her to be evicted by the end.
Series eleven:
loved: Matt Benton, Patrick Robinson, Ashley Taylor-Dawson, Sophie Ellis-Bexter, Susannah Reid (at first), Natalie Gumede, Deborah from Dragon's Den
disliked: Abbey Clancey (combination of over-marked, over-rated and overly girly) Julien MacDonald (who didn't), Fiona Fullerton (a fatal combination of being pretty crap and not especially likeable in personality terms and kept in that the expense of people i liked more), Susannah Reid (by the end)
Series twelve:
loved - Tim Winnacott, Alison Hammond, Jake Wood, Frankie Bridge, Judi Murray (by the end), Steve Backsall (just struck me as lovely), Pixie Lott
disliked: Greg Torode, Judi Marray (at first),
didn't warm to: Mark Wright (some respentment for putting out Pixie - my daughter was a bit upset the pop princess went and some fear he'd win) , Simon Webb
Series thirteen:
loved: Helen George, Anita Rani, Jay McGuiness (after the jive), Ainsley Hariott, Katie Dereham, Jeremy Vine (I found his enthiasitic dad dancing quite engaging)
some resentment towards Carol Kirkwood for massively out-staying her welcome and putting out people I liked more - she was too nice to dislike
didn't warm to: team GG
