I've found o2 delivery repoerts to be very dodgy, it nearly always comes back saying delivered almost immediaetely when sometimes i know for a fact that it hasn't been delivered until hours later.
And on other occasions i have never received one back but have receicved a reply to my message a few minuted later.
The best way to find out if a mesage has got there is to just wait for a reply, if you know they normally text back and they haven't then its a safe bet that you need to send the message again, especially when o2 are still giving me free texts!!
