The day Strictly turns into DWTS is the day I switch off.

I managed to get about a minute and a half in before I was bored to death and stopped watching, so no.

Well it's good to see you have an open mind about these things.

Obviously you didn't bother to actually watch the video or you would know that your crass comment is totally off topic!

Whatever the budget is at the moment is too big. It's just people dancing.

I have to agree with them, really. The bigger the budget that DWTS got, the more horrid it became.

As to your question though...

With as tacky as Strictly can get now, can you imagine how tacky they'd get if they had more money? Frankly, I think the Beeb should cut the budget and force them to get rid of the stupid props and backing dancers.

I tried to watch it once and didn't get past the one minute mark. I then thought "Maybe I'm being harsh, let me try again", only for the second time to last about 30 seconds or so.

There's a reason why when you watch Strictly pro dances on YouTube underneath you will see lots of comments from American's saying how they wish DWTS still did routines like that.

DWTS is a steaming pile of horsehit. All style and very little substance.

So you want to see a department store commercial on Strictly?

Bloody hell. What a bunch of &%#@$+ miseries! Evidently you prefer black and white to colour.

Well can't say the used the budget well. And I don't want 'Special Performanve Dance brought to you by John Lewis'

So no, that was just clever screen stuff and half the dance was prerecorded.

So again, NO.

Prefer substance over glitter

Here you go then (dance starts at about 1.20) The music and dance style required revealed to the couple 24 hours (well slightly less actually) before performance so choreographed, learnt and practised in one day.

This couple, incidentally, was highly influential in Len's decision to go with DWTS full time and leave Strictly.

I'm still failing to see what's so impressive about it? It's just a very average group number performed partly on a big screen. Incidentally Stictly did something similar last year which had Kevin and Karen as the focal point so it's certainly not unique to DWTS and their apparently ginormous budget

Len chose to leave Strictly because he's a miserable sod who doesn't want to be there anymore, oh and because the paycheque.

Do the bloody math! He was doing 3 shows, now he's doing 2. In what world does leaving make sense financially?

You're right though. he often is a miserable sod when he's doing Strictly. Very rarely when he's doing DWTS. What does that tell you?

With more money, there'd be less dancing and more tat.

But we might get pets.

That one's shorter because of the preparation time. The normal dances (at least in the later rounds) are 2.00 minutes give or take 5 seconds.

I think the budget seems ok at the moment.

I'd just like the strictly spenders to spend more wisely to be honest. Perhaps fewer props and more spent on proper 'dance' trousers for the men - not keen on the high street fashion elements all the time! Bigger budgets don't always mean more taste or substance unfortunately.

Hire a proper joke writer for Claudia and Tess. To be honest, I wouldn't mind if they added a third person to the team so Claudia does interviews, Tess does announcing, and the third person is the stand up comic.

They must have one, with the amount of money and time spent on the vts. Like why would you even spend money doing that when you can simply show rehearsal footage I don't get it . This is the only thing that 99% of us agree on here.
