The more these storylines continue, the more apparent it seems SOC might not be cut out for the current soap genre. He seems to be aiming at an audience from the 90's or before, rather than of this century.

He has completely misread the current soap genre and what viewers expect. I think the show is heading for a crisis if he continues into next year.

I've missed the gormless, bobble haired pubescent prick and he's on heat. You could imagine him gyrating his hips and rubbing his sweaty palms up and down his thighs as he gets in the mood for love.

*I'm going to ignore every other story and concentrate on this minor one to trash SOC because it's actually been decent recently and I haven't had too much ammunition*

From what was said on This Morning, he going for a softer approach, not high octane drama but making people like the characters again and allow the stories to build up.

However the always too much of a good thing, we can only have so much of bin talk, Kim driving and xmas plays we can take, we need something enticing I really hope its worth it.

Bex deserves better, after he basically called her frigid she should have never went back to him. She doesn't want sex, either he respects her or if he wants to get his dick wet then he needs to stop playing with her feelings.

That concerns me because the last person that said they wanted it to be a softer approach was Loraine Newman and we all know how that turned out.

Oh God. He's probably preparing for a scene involving Patrick straddling Dot whilst watching Simon Trowel.

Can't work out whether this is a joke or not??
SOC's work is boring me into a coma, not because i want sensationlism, but some decent characters would be a start!!
I am mildly interested in the Lee depression storyline, everything else is complete and utter DIRGE.
And I am completely unhappy with the axings. Les & Birdy, Belinda, Claudette, Ronnie and Roxy I can think of a dozen characters who without a doubt should go over them.
His vision for the show is a joke, I do not believe any of this poppycock about it being a 'transition' period. Its just shit.
Rant over

I'm watching it because I'm waiting for Kim to do her driving test around the square and plough into McBeale, the Arches, the Cafe, Cassandra's panto, the piled up garbage and Jack's square jaw. That probably hoping a bit too much will the dull scripting.

sounds a great storyline to kick off December.

saw kyle mentioning this France job the other day so that's where he's obviously heading, even the exits are uninspiring and complete dirge, they may as well of bought a minibus into the square piled them all in and driven off

Belinda exit was an absolute insult, getting rid of her in the first place is joke.

Agree. He's making long term affects too which isn't on like the apparent upcoming deaths of Ronnie and Roxy.
