JVC recording onto USB, loads of memory "reserved"?
We have the ability to record the odd programme onto a USB stick from the TV. However more and more space is shown as being taken up as "reserved" (11853 MB), used (2271 MB), and free space (860 MB). I don't understand any of this. No recordings are saved on it. Can anyone please explain?

TV's don't record to a blank USB drive, they format the drive in a specific way (usually based on Linux) to that one exact make, model and serial number TV - so you can't take the drive and play it back on anything else.
Do you know what all the reserved and used space is being used for? Could do with it being available. |

Does the TV offer live pause of the channel you are watching or rewind?
If so, the space might be reserved for that. |
