DTC on Danny Dyer's WDYTYA
Give @MrDDyer his own history show. Best #WhoDoYouThinkYouAre ever. #KingDyer

I don't get what's wrong with a tweet someone's made about liking a programme? DTC can be quite hyperbolic but no more so than a few on here.

I thought it was good. From royalty to the workhouse to celebrity. Danny looked gobsmacked.

The two of them really live in their own fantasy world don't they? Not only that but they really spur on each others self importance and arrogance.

Because DTC loves Danny Dyer and this is more evidence.
Plus, it's hardly relevant to what goes on in EE anymore which is the point people used to keep making i.e. stalking his tweets then correlating them to what was going on in the show. Half the time that was wide off the mark too as DTC got bored of the Carters in spring 2015 and overused the Mitchells and Beales for far longer after that. Anyway it was a great show last night. I'm sure a few would have loved it to have flopped but it got nearly 5m viewers against Emmerdale and Corrie. |

And that matters because? I'm sure he loves/likes other actors too. DD isn't the only one he tweets about.

DTC and Danny only have to breath to be accused of arrogance on here
![]() Tweeting praise for the show is hardly being the above in any case. |

I watched it for the first 15 minutes but DD's false "East End" accent wanted me to reach for the sick bucket, and his reading of the paperwork put in front of him was like watching a 5 year old at their first reading lesson in Infant's school. What the hell was that all about? Was he trying to be "down with the kids" or something. It was embarrassing to watch, totally fake and a complete turn off.

Why watch a programme about a Londoner and then complain about the accent. That'd be like me watching a programme about Cilla Black and then complaining that I don't like her Livurpudlian accent.
His career is as much of an act as Al Murray's Pub Landlord character, although I suspect Dyer is now so deep he can know longer distinguish the real person he was from the character he has become. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Me to. I'm from oop north and speak with an strong accent which gets broader when talking to my parents (so I'm told) but please.....its like going to Glasgow and expecting "see you jimmy, och aye do noooooo, hoots man". I was really hoping to enjoy this but felt DD spoilt it with the OTT cockney act. Quite cringey in places. He also appeared not to pay enough respect to those who had obviously spent many hours doing the actual research. More humility and generosity please. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - We're not all sycophants and drool over someone whose acting is as bad as their accent and puts on a persona for those who can't tell reality from a highly paid soap "actor". |

I've always cringed at Cilla Black's accent as well, it was obviously so false and put on for effect., it was boring in her early years let alone 40 years on although she left Liverpool when she was about 20. I could never stand listening to her and had to turn over whenever she appeared on TV. DD was so over the top is was embarrassing, I wasn't the only one who thought so, I do look at other websites and these are just two of the comments among others:
