I'm aware Paul was a loose canon, but these women in the show have to stop resorting to tears every time there's an exchange, an argument, or they're on the line. If they could just for one time, rationally explain their position, argue back and why they shouldn't be fired without making the boardroom a sob-fest, that'd be great.

They take themselves, and this game, way too serious. And as a result, boring tv!

One of them was flat out blubbering lmao. Would be great if someone replaced Sugar with a similar format. That guy has lost the plot and has been slipping for the past 3 episodes or so imo. He should be fired from the show. Lost the little respect for him I had for not firing those crying females.

Paul was a mug who talked back to Sugar. Why are you surprised he went. He has been aggressive to everyone in the process and deserved to go.

Firing Paul was the right decision. He was no better than the other two! Frances at least won a by a huge margin as PM. Plus with his attitude good luck doing anything in his life.

I agree he was a mug and shouting down at people, but in business you have to deal with uncomfortable people all the time without breaking down.

Paul had to go. You can't behave that way in a professional setting and expect to get away with it. Other candidates have been aggressive in previous years but have learnt to moderate their behaviour - with Paul it was back to his old self as soon as he got a semblance of power.

Having said all that, I am surprised Jessica didn't go as well. She has no understanding of the value of money and negotiation. Only saved by her tears IMO - such a shame to see feminism being set back about thirty years whenever supposedly the brightest businesswomen in the UK resort to tactics like that to save themselves.

When flashing the flesh doesn't work, turn on the tiny-tears!

Oh come off it, Jessica's tears were tears of frustration, not tactics. Every time she tried to speak Paul just shouted her down, she was trying to give an account of herself but wasn't allowed to.

Abhorrent comment. I hope your boss finds out how little you evidently think of your female colleagues. Back in your cave.

Jessica's tears were real. Frances' were fake, just like her whole persona.

It's a truth that is self-evident as we've seen yet again tonight.

More next week most likely.

I posted this on the main thread as well....

To be fair to Jessica and Frances, I can understand the crying if it wasn't fake. I'm a professional, intelligent woman but if i get frustrated i tend to cry. I can't help it, even when i know the situation doesn't warrant crying it just starts and it's very hard to stop!

I wondered if LS had sympathy with them because the stress of working with someone as aggressive as Paul might have got to them.

Women crying is cool. Makes them soft and more likable. But I can't imagine Sugar wants a more emotional type of woman as his partner. Anyone remember Ruth Badger? Now there's a woman that never cried.

I'm not 100 percent sure if she was a woman, though.

No you don't. In business you can move on, that isn't an option for Apprentice candidates. We get to see an edited version of events, Paul may have been a pig 24/7 and those he upset had nowhere to hide. Until the last episode they had Karthik and his non-stop talking. The atmosphere must have lightened considerably with that pair gone.

Jess knew she could push the aggression card, which Paul was guilty off, and she succeeded. But the truth is that apprentice candidates have been shouting at each other since the shows inception

Did I hear correctly when Jessica said she had 3 kids? Isn't she a bit young too have 3 kids?

But yeah not surprised Jessica and Frances both broke down, Paul was most aggressive candidate since Pantsman. Though it was a bit bizarre how Paul and Sofiane seemed to be best mates this week, not bringing back Sofiane sealed his fate

I mean, a massive bulky guy was being loud and aggressive to two young women, not letting them get a word in edge ways. It's quite understandable that they were crying.

Yeah she did say that, she's 29 with 3 daughters.

They could cry every boardroom, with the hours of footage they can pick and choose what they want to show when they want to show it!

Jessica I agree with others that have speculated she may have some form of medical / mental condition as she struggles to keep calm but has never really been punished for it just given time to cool off a bit

Afraid I don't have much sympathy. It may be that Jessica is having a bad edit, but every week she seems to exaggerate and mislead people, this week she was promising things left right and centre to get rid of tickets - she comes across as quite unethical. OK, Paul shouldn't have had that out with her in front of guests, but I can understand his frustration.

Clearly his fate was sealed when he was rude and challenging to Sugar, Sugar's objection to him upsetting Jessica by putting Frances in charge of the sub team was ridiculous, Jessica had messed up on the ticket selling and he needed to get a grip on what was going on.

They're not robots, of course they're going to cry if they get upset. I would too.

It's not easy to control emotion.

Paul was a massive BULLY against the women. I wouldn't mind them being in tears.

I suppose I should have used the word "weepy" instead of whinging as some use the latter as complaining/moaning but hey ho, hope the sentiment is clear enough to the pedants.
