Yes, I remember this forum as well as BB forum used to be much busier, a couple of years ago. I used to be able to just refresh and there would be tons of new threads, now it takes a day or two before there is a new one.

SCD and X factor are also way down this year by around 50% IMO.

So does that mean that BB is more popular than IAC?
I felt infuriated with this summers ,bear-fest, on BB, as did many but the forum was still busy |

The Big Brother one is nowhere near as busy as in bygone years. It's still the busiest but very slow in comparison. Viewers are diminishing at the same rate.

I think it's also down to all the hate threads that seem to dominate the forums, if you look they seem to be practically all that there is, where as before you had lots of different threads talking about what happened in the programme but all it is now is calling people bullies when there is an argument, saying someone is a choose one yada yada it gets boring reading the same old crap post after post and some of the posts are can actually be way ott with what they call contestants it's crazy

It's a ghost town compared to 2006. The forum I most visit (Cult TV) gets a few hundred posts a week - and it's the busiest time of the year for new shows. It's a patch on what DS used to be. There are so many FB groups which are so much nicer with so much more transparency in terms of people. Quote:

The forum is a joke sadly. There is no actual debate or discussion anymore as it has all degenerated to kick the bullies out and protect the poor victim. It was as if people couldn't wait to find a victim and a bully. In fact the only reason it has become bullies now is because the one labelled a bully has left early doors so there was a need to suggest there were more. However I'm still not entirely sure who they exactly are which is maybe because it has to be vague just in case they are voted out too and there is no one around to blame

I have watched IAC since day one but I am on this forum much less now. There are just too many "bullying" and "Fix" threads. No-one seems to be able to just enjoy a show any more. X Factor, Strictly and BB forums are the same.

Sad, but when was the last new great reality show? There is many options, do a sleeping reality show like "shattered" a few years ago, a LOST "island" style challenge, an Amazing Race UK-style.. the possibilities are endless with the right creative minds. Instead it is easy to keep using "safe friendly" shows like little Ant And Dec... too family friendly. |
