Ant and Dec 'glamourising' bullying?

Normally I like their lighthearted brand of humour, but these whole Martin thing puts them two in different light.

They (or should I say Ant) can't seem to stand Martin, and hardly have given him a fair crack. And if you get the wrong side of Ant and Dec you just get hounded on Twitter.

It just doesn't make them funny or clever to lambaste Martin's every word or action and just highlights how short the material is this series. At least Martin is shaking up the horrible clique developing.

i like ant and dec but they do have a nasty side. remember their beef with kelly brook..
they really believe they are better and above everyone else.

I know, as presenters they should be impartial. They are coming across as a pair of t*ts to be honest.

Martin made the show tonight. He was hilarious. The producers know they have good telly on their hands.

I thought the antics between him and Adam were hilarious.

The producers are being interesting.

This episode was relatively light, yesterday's she was in almost every shot. Tonight was the Adam show with Martin as a supporting act, which was unexpected.

Maybe they're trying one on one off and tomorrow will be wall to wall Chosen One again. As long as those two are in the final producers can't lose because Chosen One will beat Adam in a straight vote to save IMO.

As for A&D, yep impartiality out of the window again. First dig was within a minute.

Oh, please. If Martin can dish it out, I'm sure he can take it.

Weirdly, Ant just said on twitter that Martin is his favourite campmate this year.

See - it's fun to watch him. Ant agrees even after he gave him the 2-fingered salute.

Interesting. He did call him a wally though!

He's been the most "entertaining" campmate, for sure.

Perhaps if Martin wasn't so irritating they wouldn't make such a big thing of it. Martin showed his true colours on Night 1 when he had come from a 5 star hotel and ordinary food with a full stomach but refused to eat the basic rations everyone else was on (and they'd been there longer). Plus the fact he seems to dislike having to suffer at all whereas everybody else just gets on with it. Did you see Danny complaining that he wasn't a Royal? He had two opportunities to go up for the trial but said he wasn't bothered to doing it if someone else wanted to have a go. Has Scarlett complained? Or Larry? No. They just get on with it. Martin acts like a child who hasn't got his own way.

Looks like your trying to look for something that isn't there. Ant & Dec haven't got a bad bone in their body.

That's not my point.

It's rather they (and the camp mates) seem to nitpick everything he does. If Scarlett decided to sunbathe topless they'd be lapping it up. If Martin did it, it'll turn into a lazy running gag.

Honestly, Martin had a poor first day and gave a bad first impression.

It happened.

I think everyone in there, A&D etc just need to get over it! He's warmed into it the next couple of episodes and in the last 2 now he's been a funny guy and a good competitor. Their continual picking at him is now only serving to make them look silly and it's most definitely going to land him underdog votes*

*Including mine.

Interesting observation, but please don't say that tomorrow's ep will be non stop of the chosen one, I don't think I could take anymore of the chosen one being shoved down our throats! lol

Totally agree, their constant digs are starting to do my head in.

They have to follow the spin the producers want to put on the show.

Also, have you thought that Ant, Dec and the rest of the campmates have seen a side of Martin that we haven't? I'm sure Martin's actions seem pretty tame in a 60 minute show but if you had to spend time with him it would be quite annoying. I know people who worked on Homes Under the Hammer and nobody has a good word to say about Martin, so it doesn't really surprise me that Ant and Dec are being tough on him.

I felt sorry for Martin today, definitely felt like Ant and Dec and the rest of the contestants were not on his side during the trial.

Not sure about this, I thought he rolled with the punches today and on the trial he certainly won the entertainer prize. I think a lot of the laughter was with him as well as at him.

He was never going to be great at a consumption trial, but he pulled his weight.
