They bring shame to the sisterhood.

Crying and weeping and whingeing like big babies.

I know people are entitled to be emotional and they can't help being upset, but FFS this is hard nosed business. Get a grip you silly little bints. Should have been sacked!

That said, I am glad the rude git who was sacked went!

You don't know the pressure on the show. A recent candidate claimed the candidates are locked in rooms for hours (okay, perhaps not locked in!) prior to the boardroom. There's a lot of stuff on the show we don't know about and it's all designed to increase the tension. But yes, Paul is a git. He reminded me of a car salesman pestering you.

No that's because she has not emotion - she is a very cold fish.

In fact it's a good job she did not go into Madame Tussauds because they would have wanted to keep her !

In a parallel universe maybe.

It's a reality TV show and viewers should really expect by now (and how a number of ex cast members have now gone to work for the TV industry) that the current cast will act in the way that someone staring in such a reality show as this needs to act to get as much on air time as possible

I don't think so no but that is my view.

If you see it as being "relatively professional" that is your view but personally that to me seems a tad optimistic.

Lol no.

I'll give the girls a pass, its a ridiculously stressful process where people are pitted against each other and challenged in a way you wouldnt see in a regular office and Paul just has that blunt, soulless, alpha male way about him that would get under anyones skin and im glad hes gone.

I know who i'd rather work with.

Your view is wrong.
It is far more professional to display no emotion in a business environment than it is to burst into tears when something doesn't go your way.

Jessica is the one who gives girls a bad name. Pouting, hair flicking, being thick, talking too fast and all over everybody else, not thinking before speaking, and then blubbering (which she's done more than once). Ditsy, dumb and really only there cos wants to be on tv. Brings shame on all women.

Bit arrogant and autocratic that.

When I responded to your post did, as a matter of courtesy, say " but that is my view " - you, however, ignored the niceties.

But notwithstanding that you say that Grainne is " professional" in a business environment. Well I think not until she learns basic mathematics - and a few other things.

I agree that Grainne is actually professional, which I'm sorry - you simply can't say she's not in comparison to the other women who burst into tears - even if you do add "in my opinion", because it's just hard to argue that the women who cry are more professional than the one who doesn't.

Anyway, I like Grainne, don't know why some people here are so down on her. Yes she's a bit more serious than the other candidates but I like that this show is still able to have some relatively sensible people on here that aren't quick to make TOTAL clowns of themselves.

I think saying they give women a bad name or bring shame to the sisterhood is a bit much. . Since when did reality show contestants become role models or beacons of inspiration?

The crying did come across as less than professional, but this isn't Dragon's Den. Despite what the opening scenes say, they have NOT invited the best minds in business for Lord Sugar.

In fact so do I - but I fail to see why people think that she is the best thing since sliced bread because she has not to date shown that. In fact she has made a lot of mistakes and poor leadership imo.

Oh my word it was so embarrassing - Frances' crying face was a proper BAWL of a cry. It was great TV!!

Gotta be honest though...I'm a crier...and it's one of the main things I hate about myself. I cry when I'm sad, mad, stressed OR when I'm happy OR when something just means a lot to me.

When I started to ask my boss for a salary increase recently I felt myself starting to go and inside was screaming "NOOOOO!! NOT NOW!! Why cry?! WHY ARE YOU ABOUT TO CRY NOTHING HAS HAPPENED YET?!?!"

Luckily he immediately said "Yes yes it's fine." so I made my escape quickly without any tears falling and followed up with an email

But anyway, THAT'S why I could never go on this show, as much as I'd like to. I just can't trust myself no matter how hard I've tried to train myself to keep it together

But as has every candidate.

- Trishna so far is the strongest but she's borderline invisible over half the time so people aren't going to notice.

- Courtney seems sensible but has shown himself to be a bit "out of it" at times

- Frances is sly and cunning but can overestimate her own abilities

- Dillon, while nice, doesn't seem particularly strong

- Alana is a walking doormat for other candidates and needs to get her voice heard more

- Sofiane is a total self-absorbed disaster.

So really, Grainne may not be the best thing since sliced bread, but in comparison to the rest of this years candidates I think its understandable why some people may be thinking of her more favourably. It's sad when you think back to the early days of this show, but fast forward to now with Grainne and you'll realise that so much as an air of professionalism can take you a long way on this show.

Of course she doesn't give us all a bad name, she's just one woman. Does Donald Trump give all men a bad name or is he just one pillock?

I agree she is the most camera aware.

I agree with most of this and as described all though with regards to Courtney I think he is a waste of space and as I have said many times is nothing but a poser imo - so every chance he may win.

I should like Alana or Trishna to win but doubt that either will.

And yes it is very sad when you go back - I have just rewatched Series 1 and now in the middle of Series 2 - so to watch it now it's like rewatching the Goon Show !

It's almost like there's seperate people making different observations and stating different opinions.

Crazy right?

I agree. She comes across as someone who is impetuous and a live wire. She is a nice person and can be quite funny sometimes, but also annoying at times too. I honestly can't see her winning this process and LS has pretty much expressed doubts about her suitability to be his business partner.

I have no doubt she will stay to the interviews as it will make good tv.

I also don't think it's the last reality show we will see her on
